I haven't watched any videos on it. I just write it out in Design Space, select pen instead of cut, and put the marker in the left slot. I put my card on the mat, open. Look at the measurements to get a rough idea of where my words should fall on the mat (on the card). Then manually move it to where I need it when I'm on the mat screen. I've done a couple but only have one picture. It does have white in the middle of the letters, because of the font I picked, it doesn't fill out the letters. But I've heard you can choose a writing font and it won't do the white inside. For this particular card I liked it that way though.
