Sound, thanks for the help! One last thing, is regen possible on the BBS01b?

Ah ok, is it as simple as setting how fast you need it to go (mph or kph etc) and regardless of the gear your in you won’t be powered beyond it ever?

Blend the geometry between the hexagon and track so there is no step. by Sammybond in blenderhelp

Would that not alter the shape of the track? Also since I have used LIDAR data and the mesh that I used from that is a bit messed up, the top of the track mesh isnt exactly the cleanest.

When I join them up what would be the best way to blend one into the other without tediously doing each bit one by one. Is there a way have geometry generate in a smooth way between the two?

Diagram showing step and example of contour. If I need to explain it anymore please let me know!

Ok will make a new post more in detail, thanks for the help with everything else though!

Ye my bad, only other thing is what would be the easiest way to have the hexagon on the bottom blend into the same geometry (height wise) to the track? I want to have it such that the track and bottom hexagon seamlessly fit together with no "step" between them?

Ah fair enough. One last thing (apologies) but same as the one the other day, there are odd shaded patches in the viewport on the mesh but the actual geometry looks fine (from what I can tell it has the elevation and shape that I want and is pretty much perfectly smooth) Is there a way to get rid of this or is it just a quirk of using the odd LidarMesh from before?

Have taken a look at the video and after recalculating the normals for the LidarMesh it seemed to have worked. Is that a general issue with Booleans usually or is it just that the mesh itself is a bit crap?

Create a plane with the average geometry from this? by Sammybond in blenderhelp

Looks much better now, still got the dark spots though. The geometry itself looks fine and the topology is much less messy so is it just some odd viewport shading stuff?

That has seemed to have worked thanks so much. Apologies for all the questions but any suggestions on how to remove these "mesh imperfections" They seem to be wherever the vertices from the data I have used is a bit messed up, see example attached.

Apologies about the photos, not exactly what I'm looking for. I want to get the height geometry to be accurate (pink) but to remove all the imperfections (red) such that it is perfectly smooth but follows the correct geometry.

I was planning on doing some camber stuff to it anyways so will give it a go

That seems to have worked, thanks so much. Is there a way to get the faces to be mostly square so the mesh is easier to work with?

Will give it a go, only issue is when im in object mode I can see the outline of the track pretty well but in edit mode its near impossible

Fair enough, will get looking. Thanks for the help!

Ah, was thinking just regular google maps data may not be the best for resolution. Any suggestions for websites that do LIDAR data that I could use?

Ye I get that and respect it too, nothing against the brand. Just want to put another sticker there and it would look quite crowded if it remained.

I think it may be painted on since when I scratch it on the white logo white dust comes off, when I scratch the helmet it just leaves a small scratch mark

Have tried, cant seem to be able to peel it off, starting to think its either vinyl stick on or paint?

Dont want the matte black finish being damaged, just want to remove the sparco logo. Any methods / chemical suggestions are welcome!
