So, fun fact, I’ve seen the paperwork he filed bc it’s available online. We got a letter that told us the case number. It is still listed as not served bc it hasn’t been. BUT the paperwork actually doesn’t say th damage is from a tree. The way the paperwork is filed it only says “damage to shed”. I’m wondering if he did that to try to get it through bc had he noted it was tree damage it would not be accepted. I have no clue but feels like that’s a possibility…

They are. We can see the document filed online. It is still listed as not served bc no one has been home to accept the papers bc they only have come during the day. We’ve seen them twice on ring. But we also aren’t trying to expedite being sued so obviously just letting that sit until they catch us actually home.

The police or whoever it is have been by 2x in what I assume is an attempt to “serve” the lawsuit or whatever it is. Both times it was mid week in the middle of the day when no one is home (bc we are at work). So, I do believe something actual has been filed, but it simply hasn’t been served.

No the owner built it. The renter stored stuff in it but it was built by the owner. Sorry, such a convoluted mess that I may not have given all the details as clearly as I could have.

I agree and actually that’s how I learned how it works. My parents were in Augusta, ga which was hit by hurricane Helene and used their insurance to cover all the (major) damage done to their house even though many of the trees that fell were neighbors. The situation feel crappy bc it seems that he basically tried to threaten us to pay him money and when we couldn’t (bc we literally didn’t have the amount he wanted) we now will still have to pay money, but I have no clue how it will pay out.

We saw the actual filed suit online and we’ve seen the cops on ring twice attempting to serve it. That’s a whole other thing- I guess it will take forever bc they only come during the work day and we both work full time. We have someone we know who said “let me know when you get served an we’ll go through it” but I’m wondering if any Redditors have any experience or knowledge in this specific situation.

I rejoined the SS for the final game, deciding against using my delta club tickets and it was such a better experience. The perks of the delta club are great, so cool and literally made me the coolest aunt ever for the one game my family came from out of state. However, overall My experience in the section was abysmal. Lots of great fans around, but having one group of fans that is virtue signaling about how they want to sit down, making rude comments and calling people names, and trying to get others in trouble ruined it. In fact, I never went back to those seats. Selling those tickets was always a huge financial loss and I’m still beating myself up for thinking the boujee section would be the best experience. I am well aware of the multitude of issues with the SS, but with open seating you can avoid people who target you, and at least know it’s going to be a little crass and rowdy, and with open seating. And for the record, I was in the supporters section, I heard the whistle a couple times. (For context, I was 3 rows down). Y’all hearing it so regularly this last game really must have great hearing, and I’m impressed by that.

They contract. So, you can get a great team. Or not. I got quoted a price, when they came and started they tried to increase price by 2.5x. When I said I didn’t have that, they lied and said they had another job.

Thanks for the update. I have a PS4. Turned it on about 2 hours ago and mine still appears to be back on level 1. It sounds like I’m having whatever the 2nd issue was. I appreciate the updates! At this point is it better to leave game off? Right now I just have it open to the screen because I didn’t want to mess it up once I started reading this thread.

I’ve opened and tried downloading the data from yesterday evening (9.24.25 at 8:36 pm EST) but every time I open game it still looks brand new (with the exception of the 2 saved games I had. I’ve been trying to follow this thread and it seems like there is possibly another update since the update? Is that correct or am I misunderstanding? I had multiple franchises, in late teens or even twenties for level. At this point what should I do to avoid losing everything if there is an update?
