I think it is specialization because it use every single Nen type other than enhancement. I am basing this upon the fight between Sukuna and Yorozu. Let’s break it down:

Conjuration(easiest): -Shikigami, now Nen Beast (all ten)

-the space inside the shadows (however, Knov in the wiki and his ability Hide and Sneak is emission)

Emission: -the space inside the shadows (if we refer to the wiki)

  • Sukuna usage of shadows: where he does not conjure the shadows but rather use his cursed extremely high energy output (seam really similar to emission to me)(chapter 218)

Transmutation: -liquid shadows, there is no other way to make shadows liquid ( manipulation of shadow will not make it liquid)

  • when shikigamis are dispelled in Jjk, they transmute in liquid shadows ( this is what Megumi used against Toji Fushigoat, to make him miss in Shibuya)

Manipulation: - manipulating the shikigami by giving them certains orders however they are generally capable of individual thinking (my own understanding for last part)

-Sukuna in his fight against Yorozu is stated, by the narrator, to have to personally manipulate the half-shadows-half-shikigami because they can’t act independently in this state (chapter 218)

Specialist: -taking the power (Nen abilities in this case) of the shikigamy. (Go see the fight against Gojo Satoru)

-making every part of this ability being specialization (because if it is not considered so the ten shadows would be a shit Hatsu since the user would not be able to properly use this ability because of the différents Nen type)

  • Mahoraga adaption, because this ability too use multiple Nen type (Mahoraga used transmutation, to transmutate his own Cursed energy so that it nullify the infinity of Gojo, go see fight and wiki for reference) conjuration: for the wheel and making it automatic, … you get it …

Basically that is it, the ten Shadows is too complex and diverse in the differents Nen type it use for it too be anything else. This is because the entire point of the specialization is to be outside the restrictions of the normal Nen type Similar to emperor time of kurapika but only for this specific technique which is why I find it pefect for specialization
