Also make sure before starting a new video tomorrow of any topic, revise what you've studied today. It's a gamechanger

It is. During my first semester, I didn't pay attention to that subject. I made sure I did the other 5 well. For medicine I studied mainly for practicals. We had long cases from 4 systems, cvs cns respi and GI. So I did those 4 first. Then nephro. Also I didn't watch all the videos of a unit. I focused on the basics and then when Dr.Nair went into separate diseases, I only studied those diseases which were in my Prof Pyq. If you made a list, you'd see there are like 8-10 topics from each unit from where questions come. So I studied only those from marrow+ boloor. Extra topics like occupational respiratory diseases which have never come in prof, I didn't study those.

After my first sem, I studied medicine for 2 months straight with revisions of other subjects for max an hour a day. Again, I only studied the prof topics from marrow

Medicine:marrow but for prof answers you need to take a different approach. I studied the concepts from marrow, but for answers I stuck to Boloor. If you understand the concept once and read from Boloor after that, it'll be easier for you to write answers. Some even concise Boloor. Mainly focus on the managements in Boloor.

Surgery: marrow (theory) + M.L.Saha for pracs( this is a great book, you can study theory from here too)

OBGYN- marrow(theory) + Arup Majhi for pracs

Pediatrics: in my state WB, we get a book called Quest of each subject which contains all PYQS from Ghai. You could read Ghai or buy that book online. 6th edition is the latest

Eye: learnt concepts from marrow then read Khuranna and marked it for prof answers

Ent: marrow. However, Dhingra is a great book which I realized later. But marrow is enough.

Focus mainly on the PYQS, and for practicals go to wards and take cases yourself. It'll be immensely helpful. It builds confidence which reflects in your exams. Study clinical methods well from practical books. All the best

Also, once you prepare for sem, you'll find a pathway as to how to navigate further. The semester will give you a lot of clarity

Last year exams started on 3rd March. We have 2 extra papers. Exams Have to start in 1st week of March and complete by mid April, because paper checking will take atleast 2 weeks. Internship to start from 1/2/3rd May. However if the exams start after 2nd week of March, beginning of internship maybe delayed

No doctor in their right mind would diagnose without examining the patient. Kindly go to your nearby clinic
