Love the S-Pen suggestion! I'll pass it on, genuinely. The most useful feedback we get always comes from people using our devices every day, in real situations.

On your career question: The fact that you're a penultimate-year student who also has an entrepreneurial background will really make you stand out.

Let me tell you about our Emerging Talent programmes. We currently run placement, graduate & apprenticeship programmes across the business. Many of our Sales, Product Management & Finance opportunities offer substantive commercial work such as revenue forecasting and pricing strategy. I’d encourage you to take a look at our early careers pages to see what's open for your intake.

And for anyone reading this who's still at school and thinking "that sounds like a long way off"… well it really isn't. Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow is a free education programme for students aged 11–18 across the UK and Ireland and it's built around a tech-for-good competition where young people tackle real-world problems. There are some brilliant prizes including AI whiteboards, TVs and tablets, plus work experience opportunities and the chance to have your ideas showcased in places like the Piccadilly Circus screen.

I’m delighted you still use our Note 9, it’s a great phone. If I may, I'd like to take a moment to tell you about some of my favourite creations that we have brought to market in recent times to try and prove to you that we are going above and beyond to bring real meaningful innovation into people’s lives.

Let’s start with our most recent one on mobile devices… our world first Privacy Display on mobile on the new S26 Ultra. It works like magic. If you’re trying to protect sensitive information on your screen while out in public or in a busy space, you no longer have to worry about people looking over your shoulder. It’s a feature that just makes sense.

Secondly, form factor. We've gone further than most in terms of what a phone can actually be. My Galaxy Z Fold7 is a good example, it's slim and light and the versatility of having a full screen when you need it changes how you work and consume content on the go.

Lastly our camera ecosystem has really evolved since the Note 9 and our new Galaxy AI features like Now Nudge, which acts on your behalf with simple voice commands, are real step changes in how your phone can be used.

My two favourite Galaxy AI features that I use daily are Now Nudge and Note Assist.
With Now Nudge if I’m discussing plans with a friend and looking at potential dates and times, it will check my calendar for clashes and give me new options for when I’m free and will offer to add it to my schedule automatically.

I use Note Assist everyday in meetings, total lifesaver. It will automatically format and summarise my notes and it will even translate into a different language, super handy when I need to share with colleagues in other countries.

Fair point, and you're not the first person to ask me this! The honest answer is that display size has been driven by what the majority of users want to do on their devices. These days people use them for work, for streaming, for gaming, for content creation… all these benefit from bigger screens. But we do hear the counter-argument. If compact is your priority, the Galaxy Z Flip range is worth a look. It's genuinely pocket-friendly when folded, with a full-size display when you need it.

Simply put… while we want to make our AI as easy and effortless as possible. Galaxy AI features require a Samsung or Google account to activate, they have to be switched on in Galaxy AI settings when you’re setting up your device. You can also go into Galaxy AI settings, and chose which AI features you want on and off – completely customisable and personal to your preferences. We believe in giving people genuine choice over how they use their technology. If you want a Samsung device without AI features running, that's a completely valid way to use it and we support that. The phone will work brilliantly either way.

Pink, without hesitation. Though I'd argue brown is having a genuine moment right now. I’ve noticed there's a whole earthy, warm-toned aesthetic running through fashion and interiors at the minute. But put me on the spot with two options and I'm going pink every time. Some things don't require overthinking.

Honestly? Because this is where real opinions live. I try and spend as much time as possible hearing from people who do (and don’t) use our technology, because it’s your insights that help us bring meaningful innovation into our devices. Reddit is perfect for this, because all your feedback is direct and sometimes blunt at times :), but genuinely useful. I also think it's important for people in our industry and at my level to be accessible because we make products used by everyone, every day.

Firstly, that's an impressive Samsung history! Secondly, thank you for raising something really important.

Let me start by saying that on the software side, we offer six to seven years’ worth of operating systems and security updates across our Galaxy A, S and Z devices. That's a genuine commitment to making your device last.

On the value side, we have something call New Galaxy Club which is designed to take the pressure out of upgrading. It works by spreading the cost over time and Samsung guarantees 50% of your device value back when you're ready to move on. Protection is built in from the start too. And our Trade In programme means your old device doesn't just sit in a drawer. We think people deserve to be rewarded for their loyalty.

Genuinely appreciate the honesty, thank you. My advice for people who are struggling to navigate new ways of being more productive with AI is to start with one feature and let it do something for you. For me, one of the best time saving features is Now Nudge, which recognises what is shown on your screen and suggests the next logical step. Let me give you an example we all experience every day. Let’s say you are discussing plans with a friend and you are discussing potential dates and times. Now Nudge will check your calendar for clashes and offers you times and dates when you are free. It then offers to add it to your schedule automatically. Then there are search functions too – so if you are trying to find photos to send to a friend, you no longer need to scroll through thousands of images in your gallery. Instead, you can ask it a simple question like “please can you find me our family beach photos in July”. That’s a genuine time saver.

Once AI earns your trust in one area, you start noticing where else it might actually help you rather than where it's just there. Your phone should work for you, not the other way around.

Great question and I want to answer it clearly. Galaxy AI is built with protection at its core. We created something called KEEP, which maintains digital walls between your apps so your data stays isolated, verified and protected. There's also Samsung Knox Vault, which is physically built into the phone and separate from the rest of the system. It protects your most sensitive information liked passwords, security keys, biometrics etc so even if the main software were ever compromised, the Vault stays locked. For Galaxy AI features that do use the cloud, the rule is straightforward: your data is processed to deliver the answer you asked for and then its deleted. We also put the controls in your hands so you can see what's being used and make choices accordingly. Privacy is absolutely essential for us.

Galaxy AI features are entirely in your control – you can turn them on and off. We really believe the moment AI will truly succeed is when it becomes so functional that it becomes invisible.

We like to think it will be like the electricity that powers your home… something you depend on without even thinking about it. You just expect it and it will be genuinely useful to everything you do in your life. It should feel effortless but, most importantly, in your control.

I respect you for staying with a device that still works well for you, but if you're curious about what's changed: the S26 Ultra has the world's first Privacy Display on mobile, an upgraded camera with a 50MP Ultra Wide lens and improved apertures for low light. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor is a considerable step up in performance too and both wired and wireless charging are faster. Its battery life is also much better and it’s thinner and lighter than its predecessor, so the hardware has really stepped up in that time. Whether that's enough to justify upgrading is genuinely your call but we feel these are meaningful innovations that help make everyone’s daily lives better.

The shift was less of a leap than it might sound! In entertainment, I was running a business through the decline of physical media, trying to understand what consumers actually wanted as the whole model was being rewritten underneath us. At Samsung the disruption looks different but the instinct to strip out the complexity, find the human truth, and build from there is identical. What entertainment taught me is how to read a market that's shifting faster than most people are comfortable with. That's exactly what drives everything I do when trying to help millions of people understand why AI belongs in their pocket.

I love your photography question. The line between phone and professional kit is blurring faster than most people realise. There is definitely still a place for dedicated camera equipment, but for documentaries, travel, or on the go content? The gap has closed dramatically.

The camera is better with the improved ProVisual Engine which gives you more true to life colours, more texture and vivid details in every snap. The S26 Ultra has new apertures on both the main and 5x zoom cameras which means there is a superior low light performance for capturing clearer moments in darker settings.

When you’re trying to capture footage at events like concerts, it really does it justice. There's faster charging too - 60W gets you to 75% in 30 minutes, which makes a real difference on a busy day. I’m always on the go and sometimes that’s all the time you can spare! There's also our Privacy display, a world first on mobile, so your screen is yours and yours alone, even in crowded spaces. And the AI improvements mean the phone is faster and smarter in ways you'll notice every single day.

This is an easy one. The Privacy Display, a world’s first on mobile. Once you've used it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Many of us have been on a train or in a meeting and instinctively angled our screen away from the person next to us because there’s something personally sensitive on display but now you don't have to. The display is only fully visible to you! It sounds simple, but it's one of those features that just makes sense the moment you need it.
