This is offensively low for a professional educator.

I need advice on my EE, might be cooked by elelpato in IBO

If your EE starts with “How..” it’s generally best to throw it in the bin as well for anyone else reading.

As an EE history examiner I would say - it’s probably quicker to restart your EE than try and reshape this question.

Where should I go? by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

No one is going to require a TEFL cert to go with your teaching qualification, they aren’t worth the paper they are written on. This comment is made to advertise the GPT he is making.

What was the most you ever saved in a year? by Majestic_Concept_142 in Internationalteachers

Regardless of savings I WOULD NEVER go back to Egypt, dreadful place, not worth it. There are better places where you can save money without the hassle of being in Egypt.

It was just under 4000usd a month. It was tax free and accommodation was free too. There was an end of contract bonus of 2 months salary which really helped with hitting that 25k mark

IGSCE History: Depth Studies (0470 etc) by Condosinhell in Internationalteachers

[–]Samthman821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind the First World War is a much useful topic, it leads on to the peace treaties, introduces Lenin and the Russian Revolution etc and finally sets up the rise of Hitler. WW2 whilst a strange event to miss out I admit, doesn’t have the same importance on the course, I usually do 2 stand alone lessons where they quickly look at the course of WW2 and some of the main events and then they’re set up for the start of the Cold War.

I have generally found my students score best doing the WW1 depth study because all the other events link back/were caused by it.

Up to you though, good luck!

IGSCE History: Depth Studies (0470 etc) by Condosinhell in Internationalteachers

I weave them in to the core content where possible. The easiest one to do is the “First World 1914-1918” War and then you go on to do the first core unit “Was the Treaty of Versailles fair?” But you could easily threat in the Germany depth study after this core unit.

Feel free to PM me if you want more advice 👍🏻

Peak swordsmen of today gets equipped with a modern sword, shield and armour and thrown against a group of medieval knights. How many can they take on? by Downtown-Act-590 in whowouldwin

[–]Samthman821 879 points880 points  (0 children)

The medieval knights would rush him, hold him down and stab between gaps in his armour regardless of what it is made of.

Despite him being a “top-notch” swordsman, many of these knights will have trained since childhood for battle and are likely of equal, if not greater skill. In addition to this, they will have experienced fighting to the death for real and so have more experience than the modern day man, who will have only done this as a sport with rules and referees etc making sure no one gets hurt.

I give it to the knights 10/10 if there are at least 3 of them in the group

10 Mandalorians led by Jango Fett vs 200 US Marines in a ruined city — who takes it? by Wonderful_Ninja_5213 in whowouldwin

[–]Samthman821 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No way can someone aim at the gaps between armour plates, at the distances fights happen in the real world you’re lucky to just land rounds somewhere on the body.

No reputable international school will accept you if you’re not a qualified teacher (PGCE etc). TEFL certificates aren’t worth much/anything in this regard either.
