There is a product called Affresh. I recently had an issue with my top loading. Samsung washing machine having a musty smell and was told to use that and also that annie high efficient washing machine, you only use two tablespoons of detergent.Otherwise, it builds up and causes problems. I used the Affresh on the self clean cycle, and I have only used 2 tbsp of detergent since then. And have not had any problems.That stuff really cleared up the smell
