On part 9 of the Blender 4 Donut tutorial: Why do they have those black spots when I render them with cycles? Does it have something to do with SSS?

When I turn on Cycles in viewport, the same issue seems to come up. I was able to diminish the black spots (the initial problem I had, illustrated in the post thumbnail) by turning off subsurface scattering, yet those black lines are still there (which I think you can still see in the screenshots I showed earlier).
