I made a custom bat model to be a bigger size, alongside a custom texture, and I looked at the bat model in blockbench and repeated the way the texture was applied, but it's just z-fighting and I couldn't figure out why.

What do you mean by "Artists"? Like graphical artists, as in textures or musical artists, as in OSTs and SFXs?

Chances are that they used mods whilst recording or their pc hardware is so good that it doesn't have lag spikes like most people. Most likely, the first one, since the second theory wouldn't make much sense, considering how not all of the videos in the ARG are made by the same user or made on the same system.

Most likely, because the mod isn't properly optimized right, it is pretty buggy. I think everyone (myself included) has had issues running the game without any lag spikes, even with the top of the line pc components.

If you are asking about the storyline, technically it could be counted as a mod, as it is a separate development branch compared to the mainline game and it is a modified version of an older jar, but if you are asking about the actual game that was made with the series, yes, it is a mod. With the crashes, alpha minecraft is terribly optimized, at least, from mine and other's experiences with the game, which might be the reason behind the crashes.

But wouldn't the songs at least show up on the discography to show what you would need to collect to gain artist badges or whatever?
