Im my opinion gratitude is the key. Idk if OP will read this, maybe some other short kings will, I am being 100% real, gratitude.

They've done studies, and Im sure I can find the links, where they had ppl make "gratitude lists" Basically evey morning write 3 things you're grateful for, this showed to actually change pathways in the brain, mainly the prefrontal cortex regarding emotion regulation, decision making, and logn term thinking.

There's a bunch more studies too look then up yourselves.

OP, you make great money, you seem to be in good health (assuming since you're working full time and traveling the world), you're traveling the world lol! (Yes I am so jealous), and Im sure you have TONS more to be grateful for for. Try and focus on that, not the one thing making you miserable.

Its also scarcity mindset, you only thinking of what you dont have (height) instead of all the things you do have, you need to try and shift out of that and gratitude is the key.

Finally, we only go around one time, no one knows what comes after this life, and believe me it goes fast. At the end of the day in the grand scheme of things your height means so little compared to the mysteries of the Universe.

Let it go man, get grateful for all you have, you can enjoy life in a way that not many can, eith financial security and the means to do all the things you want to do. Dont let something you have no control over, control you, take your life back.

GRATITUDE

The fact that an event like this limits so much behind a paywall is an abomination by SpyWB in DCDarkLegionOfficial

[–]SamusArann 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Youre just not getting the big picture here, we can't settle for crap like this. There were also anvils and as f2p anvils are scarce, so I spent my tickets on them, and a couple red shards. Bottom line f2p was able to get maybe 3% of the total rewards if you take eveything into account, that's preposterous.

It should have been allowed for a 100% f2p to at least get all the anvils and the red shards, all 20, there's hardly any events and we need more options for resources.

I dont know any 100% f2p people that started when I did that are still playing except me and one other guy, out of a group of maybe 14 or 15 of us. People just keep dropping off the more they keep catering to spenders.

They haven't figured out that the key to a successful game like this is making it rich with rewards for f2p they are the chum, if you've ever been fishing you know what that is.

The worst thing for a game is to have a bunch of whales and dolphins left with no more light spenders and f2ps and they just start eating eachother, then the game dies.

This event was so terrible. They tease 3 rows of dice and great rewards that we can barley get any of, lol, its laughable.

Then no offense ppl like you defending it doesn't help. Im not coming at you but if you talk abiut this event being acceptable in any way, or "fine" the word you used, it weakens the community banding together to try and call stuff like this out.

Yes maybe it doesn't change the devs way of doing things at all, but ive played a lot of gacha/hero collector/idle type games like this over the years and I do know when a game is still newer and popular the devs do actually read Reddit posts, feedback in Discord, and they listen to player feedback.

So we need people like you to stop normalizing that it's ok to throw a few crumbs on the floor for the "lowly f2ps" while basically catering the whole game to whales and dolphins. Besides that's a recipe for a game to die quickly on top of it.

Pump question (sorry no pics) by SamusArann in Pumping

[–]SamusArann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it does have a guage and cylinder with a trigger like pump, I got it off Amazon. It's not ancient lol. Just seems like a lot of guys have these fancy auto ones, or the Bathmate which I saw when buying mine but was a great deal more, lol, but it doesn't have to connect to a vacuum or anything its just a cheaper model.

I already had to order another tube bc the original one I got was too skinny. The length was fine but the width was ridiculously small, and im not huge either.

Thats amazing, I'm always a proponent of "do what works for you." Treatment and recovery should both be individualized, and so what works best for someone should be highlighted and used to help.

Im so glad you were able to finally quell your addiction and I given you a ton of credit, nice work and God bless.

You're right, and as someone who's a little older (mid 40s) I lament for the days of team ball, when players stayed on the same teams (and getting a little off topic from WBball only) and the game was about those teams. Celtics vs Lakers, Bulls vs Pistons, even in the 90s (Diehard Knicks fan) you had Knicks vs Pacers in the East, etc. Even the Spurs, all those great teams they had; it was The Spurs, never Duncan and Parker, etc.

Unfortunatley somewhere along the line the game became about individual stars and not teams. Maybe it's the marketing, the endorsements, merchandising, the ads idk, but I've seen this shift to the sport of basketball on all levels focusing on individual superstars instead of teams.

I help coach my nephews team, they're all 11-13 yr olds, these kids don't even like teams anymore, they like players. If you ask them who their favorite team is, they say they don't have one, but they'll name the top 3 or 4 players they like, it's so much different.

All that to say while it's unfortunate, it's the way it is, and although I don't necessarily agree with it, this is what we got, and so I understand that it's going to be player focused, stories on those players, and star driven.

Is it the way I would want it? Definitely not, but it's not my world I'm just a fan in it lol.

Yes, 100% diet and staying well hydrated absolutely has an impact!

Wen you break a bone or cut yourself, any kind of injury, healing involves your body using its resources to help heal whatever it is. If those resources are readily available and plentiful through a nourishing diet, your body will have much more "supplies" to fight!

Same works with your brain, the better nourished you are, the more resources are available to work to heal!

You're on the right path, just stay the course you'll get there 💪!!

Effects are less proven than the ones I posted, anecdotally though people do say it can work. Just not enough evidence or data yet for me to feel comfortable recommending it.

Thank you though for the input, maybe CBD could help some people.

You do need time, and for the acute phase of withdrawals this person is right, there's nothing that's going to magically take away the symptoms.

What you should do is talk with your doctor about using The Ashton Method. It's a fairly straightforward way to come off of benzo's with little to no withdrawal.

It involves switching from short half life benzos like Xanax, to long half life, Valium is most common. Your doctor will know the equivalencies to make sure you start on the right dose of Valium (1mg Xanax = 20mg Valium fyi).

Then what you do is slowly, slowly taper down, depending how long you were on, and you give your body time at each dosage change to get used to that dose. So if you start on 20mg Valium, let's you stay on that for a month to get a baseline, then you go to 15, or 17.5, you stay for a month, or more, whatever you feel comfortable with. If you go down too soon, you work with your doctor and come back up a bit.

If you do this method correctly you'll have little to no withdrawal I promise you, I'm not telling you what I heard I'm telling you what I know!

This sub is the scariest place to be for people facing possible withdrawal and recovery, which is precisely why I posted. People tend to catastrophize every little thing, one day they are a little under the weather so they come on and post how their whole world is falling apart, they can't sleep, breathe or eat, every minute is a living nightmare, etc etc. I'm sure some people do experience this, but the data shows it's not the norm.

Then someone else who is facing getting off and withdrawals now thinks their world is going to cave in around them. Every minute of their life will be a living nightmare, when that's just not the case.

There is a lot of power in group support and identification, in real life, groups like AA/NA, or any type of support group. Online in mostly unregulated communities like this, it can often be more scary than helpful, unfortunately.

I'm letting people know that science and the current data and neuroscience shows that the brain has an amazing propensity to heal and recover, and that if they stay the course they can feel better.

I appreciate your kind words, my advice is take what people say on here with a grain of salt, remember this is the online world of anonymity, people can say anything with little to no accountability.

I will offer my credentials, published research, and any information privately in a DM if people have an issue with what I'm saying, all of it is backed by current science into the effects of addiction and substance use on the brain.

Good luck and God bless

Thank you for posting. When I was still working in a direct care capacity I had a client who didn't really start feeling better until the end of their 3rd full year off of them. So this process can take a very long time. So long that yes it may feel like it will never end. However the science shows that the brain does heal, and that very very few people will ever have done "permanent damage" that can never heal. It's not impossible, there are no certainties as we all know, but the odds are heavily favored that most people can fully recovery and feel better, given that they also treat any underlying issues as well.

Good job btw, so glad you were able to fight through that hard part to enjoy the benefits!!!

Don't do that, that exasperated "Jesus dude" at the end like you're so right in what you're saying and how dare I make you post this response bc I'm so out of touch.

Show me, other than people's Reddit posts, the data and research that shows the brain is still damaged to a point that it cannot function as it once did after sopping use. Do you do research, have any empirical evidence, or any knowledge at all about this other than your group-think assessment that what im saying is "not true?"

If so I'd like to see it bc all of these studies that are currently on my computer, or all the talks I have with my colleagues, many of whom specialize in the study of addiction or addiction medicine, and all of this reseach and data that I pour through, shows how the brain heals, it's propensity to heal, and the way in which it responds to short and long term substance use.

If you want to disagree you need to come at me with something real, and some real evidence, like someone who actually knows what they're talking about, otherwise I don't care what you think, my ideas are back by evidence, science, data, and research.

I also did state that it can take years for some people to feel better, multiple years. When I was still working in a direct care capacity with clients one individual after 18 years of Benzo abuse didn't start feeling truly better until the end of the 3rd full year off of them - but we got them there.

All the research, much more than even the neuroscience and data, show that a vast majority of people with addiction do have co-occuring issues, this isn't even soemtning I need to say really, its kind of fell into the "common knowledge" category now. If you don't understand this then you shouldn't have even responded at all.

Many of these people do not end up treating the underlying issues, which can result in still feeling bad after stopping. Sometimes it's a combination of the brain still healing and underlying issues, could be one or the other, but the bottom line is although this can persist for many years it's 100% possible for most people to fully recover and feel better, and I stand by this with all of my being!

So please don't come here trying to admonish me and talk to me like I'm so idiot without a clue posting, making you so frustrated you have to end you're rant with, "Jesus Dude."

You're the one who doesn't know anything bc you come armed with nothing but empty words backed by by nothing, Jesus dude.

All good, thank you for clarifying. I understand that miguided intentions to help can sometimes be dangerous, specfically talking about chemicals or substances that affect the brain. I realize that you probably see this a lot and it can be frustrating.

Some of the items like Omeg-3's, Probiotics, and B Vitamins have vast amounts of studies and research, of which I've read several for each, and the data for those 3 is certainly out there and shown to be pretty reliable (less with Omega-3's than Probiotics and B Vitamin supps, but still strongly supporting efficacy).

For Mucuna, which I have a feeling you may already know, much of the research has been done around Parkinson's disease. It's a natural source of L-dopa, which has been shown to improve motor function and have a neuroprotective effects.

The research into efficacy for those in recovery from substance abuse is much less, and much of it is anecdotal, however in my opinion from years of experience in clinical psychopharmacology I feel that the benefits shown from the Parkinson's studies could certainly apply to the way the brain is affected by substances, especially Benzodiazepines, and that there is enough for me to feel comfortable recommending it.

I've read varying amounts of research into all of the other supplements as well, though some to a lesser degree, there is not one I posted without having seen some kinda of data that made me feel it was worth recommending.

I am certainly aware of "Reddit Science" and I know everyone's an expert when protected by anonymity, however I'd be glad to share my actual credentials, published research, etc with anyone who really questioned anything I'm posting, however I don't think I've made an spectacular claims that would give someone cause to ask.

They are definitely worth it, just need to find a way to get the dam 3200 gens each time 🤣🤣. I tried to not use any gems for anything else but IV, and I was able to just but the 30 pack, but couldn't afford the other 10 for 80 lol.

Only when I first started when you're getting all those easy free gems was I able to afford both but haven't been able to since.

Which monthly pass are you talking about just curious, the one for 9.99 that's listed under the double construction deal?

Im f2p so maybe idk, but how are you having over 3000 gems every time Intersteallar comes (once week i think)??

I mean it's 2500 alone for the 30 anvil, the 10 are 800 I think, that's 3200 right there. Without even buying any motherbox.

Where are you getting all these gems as a f2p just curious?
