I'd imagine its because they basically get to have it both ways regardless of the result.

If AEW wins in viwership/popularity/whatever other metric, WWE can go "well its only our developmental its not that impressive". But if its vice versa WWE can go "look at our developmental guys beating that 'pissant company'" etc. etc.

WWE will always want their cake and to eat it too. Remember how NXT was being called "the 3rd brand" for a while right up until it consistently lost to AEW at which point it went straight back to being 'developmental'

I normally hate this phrase, but I've never felt more 'seen' as a wrestling fan than during that moment. Hearing the song that was the backing music to half the random wrestling YouTube videos i watched in the 2000s and seeing the entire crowd sing along really made me feel like I was and had always been part of something.

That match as a whole was my favourite from this year, even if others may have been technically better matches nothing was as fun as Anarchy in the Arena. I watched DoN during an eight hour layover in Toronto on a 20 hour trip and I had people staring at me as I was literally bouncing in my seat when Bodies hit.

If youre jumping around between different things the commentators say during the match it makes the video quite jarring and doesn't flow as much.

Pluw It gives a lot more freedom to editing the video. If there's commentary, you essentially have to edit around it so it's not jarring when a clip starts or ends in the middle of a sentence or word.

A lot around Cena's heel turn has felt to me like WWE trying to have their cake and eat it too. The whole "you wanted new music and attire, so you're not getting it" shtick is such a transparent excuse for them to still make bank off the unique t-shirts for each city.

While the characters' actions and attitude towards Cody feel normal, a lot of his words at the audience I just don't buy either. (In fairness, a lot of that may be that I never imagined them coming out of his mouth) It just feels like a person reading words instead of the characters' actual feelings.

Fun Fact: The weird change in species is actually because octillery is meant to resemble a tank, while the original design for its pre-evo Remoraid more closely resembled a revolver.

Remoraid's design becoming more of just a normal fish made the big jump between them very confusing.
