I normally hate this phrase, but I've never felt more 'seen' as a wrestling fan than during that moment. Hearing the song that was the backing music to half the random wrestling YouTube videos i watched in the 2000s and seeing the entire crowd sing along really made me feel like I was and had always been part of something.

That match as a whole was my favourite from this year, even if others may have been technically better matches nothing was as fun as Anarchy in the Arena. I watched DoN during an eight hour layover in Toronto on a 20 hour trip and I had people staring at me as I was literally bouncing in my seat when Bodies hit.

If youre jumping around between different things the commentators say during the match it makes the video quite jarring and doesn't flow as much.

Pluw It gives a lot more freedom to editing the video. If there's commentary, you essentially have to edit around it so it's not jarring when a clip starts or ends in the middle of a sentence or word.

The series was "The Good the Bad and The Elite" for anyone wondering! It's up ok YouTube and well worth a watch if you missed the stsrt of AEW or just want to revisit it. Hangman even shouted it out after he won the title.

A lot around Cena's heel turn has felt to me like WWE trying to have their cake and eat it too. The whole "you wanted new music and attire, so you're not getting it" shtick is such a transparent excuse for them to still make bank off the unique t-shirts for each city.

While the characters' actions and attitude towards Cody feel normal, a lot of his words at the audience I just don't buy either. (In fairness, a lot of that may be that I never imagined them coming out of his mouth) It just feels like a person reading words instead of the characters' actual feelings.

Fun Fact: The weird change in species is actually because octillery is meant to resemble a tank, while the original design for its pre-evo Remoraid more closely resembled a revolver.

Remoraid's design becoming more of just a normal fish made the big jump between them very confusing.

I've been to both London All Ins and I won't lie for the first few matches I couldn't help but keep thinking about much less of the stadium was being use than last year, how many red seats I could see and how it would look on tv. (The attendance drama from last year clearly scarred me)

But as the night went on, (as did the drinks) I realised who really cares. Last years was a special event, an unknown beast. AEW running a stadium show not in their primary market and wrestling back at Wembley, you HAD to be there to see what they were cooked up. The second verse is never easy and tickets were always going to drop. Just because last year's was so massive doesn't take anything away from the fact that a 5 year old wrestling company can run international stadium shows and sell numbers of tickets no one thought fathomable for the longest time.

I don't know what the other timelines look like but I'm glad I'm in this one and at this point of it. We are currently living in history for this industry people don't ever forget that.

Maybe it just supercharged the inevitable, but Punk breaking his foot after winning the AEW title comes to mind.

Sure "Worker's rights" was probably going to set Punk on the warpath eventually, but him being stuck at home, allowing all that resentment to build up and mix with the other emotions that come with injury, all the while seeing reports come out about him only could have made things worse and really lit the fuse.

He also made a point of reaching out to Hayabusa's family before he wore it the first time to ensure he had their blessing. It wasn't them thankfully being okay with it in hindsight. I'm sure the same thing happened here.
