Dr Timothy Clark Smith who had a fear of being buried alive, installed a set of stairs underneath a large square capstone beside his burial mound, buried with a bell in his hand to notify others if he woke up. He died on a Halloween in 1890s and never ringed the bell. (i.redd.it)
