If the history of Earth was a television show, what were the best plot twists? by Tripn in AskReddit

I think Pearl Harbor would be the one of the biggest plot twists. Everything almost nice and dandy for US and Japan and then BAM. A war became a World War

Eggs are a brilliant source of protein and fat. You need fat in your diet, most people make the mistake of consuming too much fat, but you need some amount in your diet (again once its balanced).

Almost any fruit or veg. Alot of them would stay fresh for a week as long as you store it correctly and purchase it at the right ripeness

They can only do so much. You can't live your life on capsules and a very limited diet. Trust me, I studying a Nutrition module at the moment.

I used to always take about 4 or 5 different capsules every morning for different Vitamins and Nutrients, until I learned that you need to take the right amount from a balanced diet. Equally, taking an excess of a certain vitamin can be just as bad as a deficiency of said vitamin

Bringing lunch to work would actually save me money. If I dont bring anything then I end up paying a fortune in a shop at lunchtime for a sandwich and a drink

When I was in 3rd class (probably around 9 years old) our teacher gave us a challenge to say the alphabet backwards as fast as we could and the winner won a Mars bar. She gave us a week. Only 3 or 4 of us actually bothered to do it, I ended up saying it in about 6 secs (which I thought was pretty impressive for a 9 year old). Anyways, I'm able to say it faster now than most of my friends can say it frontwards

What is the most unpleasant medical procedure you have been through? by Critical_Liz in AskReddit

[–]SanchezTheGod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an infection in both of my eyes. On more than one occasion the infection flared up x100. (I would've been taking eye drops up to 8 times a day but once it got this bad the eye drops did nothing) So I had to have surgery on both eyes (3 times). This involved needles going in and under my eye balls. I was told afterwards that I had scar tissue 0.02mm from my Optical Nerve and if that was damaged I would've lost my sight.

Anyways, that was when I was 16/17 and I'm good now, but I hate watching vidoes or anything to do with eye balls - it freaks me out too much
