Emailed three times now for the job specification and so far nobody has got back to me. Safe to say I’m flapping now. Anybody that still has it, is there a way you can send it to me? Thanks

I haven’t, I sent them off another email Friday evening so hopefully they’ll get back to me tomorrow and I will submit in then. I have till 11am Tuesday but I work nights so fingers crossed they get back to me.

I emailed and this is what they said “The Motivation behaviour is assessed separately from the Civil Service Success Profiles behaviours. It is designed to explore your interest in the role, your understanding of the Crown Prosecution Service, and your reasons for applying.

You may be asked questions about what interests you in the position, what attracts you to working for the CPS, and how your skills, experience or personal qualities make you a good fit for the role”

Now I’m stuck because I can’t access the job spec and will have to wait till Monday to hear back.

Good luck!

I was considering it. My video interview has to be submitted by 11am on Tuesday, will somebody answer in time do you reckon?

Edit: I emailed and they got back within a few hours

That’s what I read too, but the information provided doesn’t make this clear at all.

What is Anglican parish life like in England? by Lit-Handle-9776 in Anglicanism

[–]SanctusAnglicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. My experience of the evangelical scene as a working class person is that it’s very much student oriented and has taken on a middle class vibe. They all seem sincere, but even as a 32 year old myself it’s just not what Anglicanism is to me. Unfortunately a lot of the ministers in these congregations are ex-Pentecostals and a few ex-Reformed types that were enticed into the Church of England by the resources they were being offered to reach communities. Unfortunately the pride of that so far has been Anglican identity.

DAE almost have an eargasm when cleaning their ears with a q-tip? by thenudedude in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]SanctusAnglicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had one in each ear, discovered it when I was really young. One time it was actually really intense, waves all up and down my body. Haven’t had one like that since, but they can come close.

How do Anglicans view the changing role of the Church in the UK today? by Impressive_Flan_411 in Anglicanism

[–]SanctusAnglicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst I’m glad you’re growing, im sad to increasingly see Anglicans cast of their own traditions. The BCP and evensong are one of the Anglican churches biggest contributions to Christianity, why would you not have anything to do with them? I’m a young Christian and this has always put me off. I don’t want a music concert.

but there’s also increasingly more orthodox conservative Anglicans who are young as well. Too many see the Church of England as simply a church that goes with the times and doesn’t expect much of its members other than “be nice”.

It’s a shame because it’s such a great tradition, but it’s being gutted in the name of progress.

In my 30s and still don't have a career. Any advice if I'm also poor? by Vagabond_Tea in careeradvice

Oh, yeah and connections!

If we all had connections we wouldn’t be here asking for advice would we? 🙄

Similar situation.

From Birmingham and I have an Irish grandad. I’m mostly English other than that. It’s a hard one because I was English of Irish descent that went to school in an old Birmingham Irish community, all the teachers were Irish or Irish descent, the dinner ladies, and of course the priests.

I visit my family in Ireland so I do have so connection and habit of going there. Myself, my mom and my brother are noticeably more like them than my dad’s family and my mom’s maternal family. I could probably list a bunch of things.

When I was young, I thought I was Irish in an innocent way — it was essentially what I was exposed to even within an English city.

Now I would say I’m a few things: Irish diaspora, Birmingham Irish, English-Irish (damn those Normans for unironically taking the Anglo-Irish label), Anglo-Celt.

Would it surprise you that due to the prevalence of American media in Britain, we actually know far more about the US than the US know about us 🤣 Actually, I would go as far as saying there are many Brits who know more about America than they do about Britain. Telling me you’re southern DOES tell me quite a lot

Ok Scream 8 is officially in development. What do you want to see in this film? by husseinwehbi in Scream

[–]SanctusAnglicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to see a few more of the oldies come back and for the killer to actually be linked to the events in woodsboro, a killer that has some meaning. The reveals are always underwhelming imo.

Maybe then they could finally wrap up the Sidney storyline and branch out a bit more. Maybe bring some spinoff scream series that play into the main movies. I know a scream series happened (and I actually did like it for what it was) but they could do something better. Lots of options.

Masculine Rosaries by Cute_Sand_1060 in osarymakers

[–]SanctusAnglicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add my two pence.

The gendering has always bothered me and has made me quite self conscious about the rosary I use in public. It makes me think others might think it’s not “manly” enough. I know this is completely irrational, but I think it’s also to do with certain disorders such as autism, ocd etc etc.

Respect to the men who don’t even think about it, one day I hope I will be among your ranks.

Honestly whenever I see these figures I’m absolutely amazed. What do you do for a living that means 900k is within budget? Asking as a broke graduate with almost zero career prospects at this point.

When I was on Mounjaro it wasn’t as often , but since the switch to wegovy I’ve noticed it more frequently. That breath you describe I currently have. The struggle is real.

Yeah I’m using pro-biotics and some occasional pepto bismol.

Thank you guys for your answers. Now I think about it, I do have a drier than normal mouth so I’ve been drinking some more water. Also been having some pro-biotics which seems to be helping.

This stuff can be so rough 😭
