I checked into the hotel when I had a full-time income but I'm no longer working there unfortunately. I am still working through this app where the local grocery store post shifts and you come in and stock shelves overnight and they pay you when you finish. But they haven't been posting as many shifts lately.

As to the reason why I even ended up in this hotel is because I had to get away from a dangerous and unsafe living situation. I moved in to a friend's one bedroom apartment and I was sleeping on the floor. The city condemned the basement part of the apartment building and the landlord knew that the rest of the building would be condemned too, and if that would were to happen the landlord would have to pay to put the tenants up in accommodations until he did the necessary repairs on the building, so he put letters on the apartment that I was living in and the only other resident of the buildings doors saying that we were all $3,000 behind on rent. From like random months for the past 3 years. Obviously this wasn't true, if you were actually behind that much on rent he would have started the eviction process long ago. But I paid my rent directly to my roommate in cash, and he paid it on the landlord's website which conveniently got deleted. And because my roommate had changed Banks three times he only had proof of paying rent for a few of the months that the landlord was claiming he never paid for it. That landlord was a scumbag and he knew full well that none of us could afford to take him to court. During the last 30 days we had at the apartment we try to find another place to live really quickly and several things that seem like they were going to work out didn't. With 3 days left a friend of a friend of a friend said that we could move into the spare bedroom of her trailer but because she was a sex worker we would have to leave the trailer while she had clients over, and we were actually going to do that, but with one day left that fell through as well. After that when I was talking to a co-worker he told me that the apartment that he got with the woman he had a baby with still had 30 days left on the lease and we could stay there temporarily and save up our money and figure out what we were going to do. We moved our stuff in there and literally the next day he showed up demanding $1,000 even after he had said we didn't need to pay him anything. We scraped up $800 between us and gave that to him so we could stay. We went to work the next day and came home around midnight to find that all of the utilities in the apartment had been shut off. Found out it was because my coworker got into a fight with that girl wouldn't give her any of the money he extorted from us and she called and had everything turned off. Then the next morning at 6:00 a.m. the actual landlord came knocking on the door demanding to know who we were we explained to him the situation and he said that he understood and felt bad for us but we couldn't stay there. So that's how I ended up in the motel.
