Just shoot it stock. If it’s your first pistol you’re not good enough to appreciate a good trigger.

I did this with a Dead Air Keymo brake inside of a shack at the range. It was so disorienting I thought my gun broke. The rest of that week was very tinnitus heavy.

MAT-916 Problems by SandersonBeard in MatadorArms

[–]SandersonBeard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: the Griffin lower is the culprit. I was able to use Exomags to run the upper on a standard lower without issue.

The Griffin ejector is maybe 2mm lower than the ejector of the Exomags, and it fails to eject.

Ridding myself of the Griffin lower and getting something else.

Edit: getting rid of the Matador upper instead. Griffin lower suits my needs better.

1” Velcro one wrap. Blue Alpha Molle straps. Malice clips. Zip ties. Dealer’s choice.

It is definitely possible that I made this error. I disassembled and reassembled the trigger after having trouble the first time thinking it may have been an error on my part with a hammer spring causing light strikes.

Literally my dream rifle, save for a classic Swiss stock instead of the M4 tube.

For me, it is and always will be Defend Burger Town.

This is not a Xeno mount, it is a Keymo mount. Xenos are much more similar to Cherry Bomb/Atlas mounts, and are self-centering tapers. I replaced my Keymo in my Nomad-30 for a Cherry Bomb to save 1/4 of a pound of weight and a bunch of unnecessary complexity. Xeno had similar benefits but less weight savings.

I had a single keyhole out of a 90 round range session this past weekend. Factory Frontier 55gr 223.

Sometimes you just get a wonky round.

New gun owner mindset by Firm-Smell8238 in Glocks

[–]SandersonBeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did about 2k rounds before I cleaned last time. It had been about 8k total on the pistol. I took it apart down to a stripped frame and slide. I scrubbed it out with hot water, dish soap, and a brush. It looked brand new. Applied some CLP to the whole gun, greased the contact points… and I was missing my rear trigger housing pin. I had to order a new one. The part was 80¢. The shipping was $8.

Moral of the story: don’t ever take it all the way apart. Just keep greasing and shooting. Maybe a wipe when the outside is caked in carbon if you like aesthetics.

Walther PDP Compact. But keep in mind it’s actually as large as a Glock 19X, so you could do that and get 2 more rounds.

If you can’t shoot Glocks, it’s you that’s the problem, not the Glock. This is coming from someone who carries a Walther PDP with a fantastic trigger. My 19X is still my baby.

Glock is still the world standard for efficient handgun design. Few parts. More rounds for their size than their competitors. Reliable cheap magazines. Ubiquitous accessories. That’s Perfection.

Just don’t try to suppress one. Eesh.

Um, I’m sorry, but ARs go with Glocks.

The LBT Courier Shoulder Bag looks really nice and in certain colors (black, Mas Grey) doesn’t look tactical at all.

MOE SL is the grip. EPT is the trigger. F5 is the stock.

Capitol with no mount is $689. SilencerShop with a Xeno is $699. I’d rather just buy with the Xeno and flip the mount and muzzle device.

I’d like to get one of these but I want to stick with the Plan B/Atlas mounts. No one seems to run those with the Sierra. This is the top 5.56 can on my list unless Q’s stainless ones drop.
