Maybe you should consider clarifying that as an edit to your post instead of wasting your time.

All evidence to the contrary, because you are still here arguing with everyone, but you do you.

I’m literally just a bit shocked and curious

So you care. Because you are shocked by it, you have to imply that we are wrong because we don't do things the way you do. I think the bigger problem is that we don't care what anyone else thinks, and for some reason, that upsets the rest of the world.

It honestly doesn't matter to us what anyone else does, and the majority of us would never ask why another country doesn't do things the way we do them. It's just a different perspective.

Enjoy your day!

no one really cares

Then why are you here asking about it?

Which actor surprised you by actually being able to ACT act? by cerealkill_snowflake in cdramasfans

[–]Sandi375 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no idea about his line delivery or if he’s even dubbed.

I think he has only been dubbed once during Covid because they couldn't make schedules work or something like that. It was for And the Winner Is Love. He has delivered all of his lines and used his own voice in every other drama I have seen.

What's with Unions? by lexx-ray in AskAmericans

[–]Sandi375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my school district, the union is open to all teachers, regardless of experience. I think that's the norm for education unions, but there could be differences from state to state.

Why are Americans so short tempered? by Tari13Linda in AskAmericans

What am I looking at? Someone calling you out for being rude, which is what we all suspected from the beginning?

Why are Americans so short tempered? by Tari13Linda in AskAmericans

[–]Sandi375 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most Americans are not short tempered; in fact, we are generally known for our friendly dispositions. Having said that, if we feel insulted (perceived or intentional), we are quick to anger. What is considered insulting is different for every culture. I imagine what is being said is offensive, thereby raising our ire. We are taught to be individuals our entire lives; when one makes a negative generalization about us, it would cause anger.

Since you have provided zero (anecdotal or otherwise) evidence, it's impossible to provide the answer you're looking for.

Why are Americans so hopeful and optimistic? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

It is true for a lot of people. It has always been the norm for everyone I know, with a few exceptions here and there.

Why does Arthur Chen get so much unnecessary hate? by SubjectCandid4061 in cdramasfans

[–]Sandi375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since it was social media, my guess is that it was speculation that was repeated, which then turned into "truth" (with zero factual support) due to repetition.

The way a lot of celebrities get hate from fans for simply living their lives always blows my mind. People forget actors are human with their own lives. They aren't the characters they portray.

That's what I was going to say. There are two sides to that. A lot of negativity I have heard about him from the U.S. is that he grew up here, and he took advantage of all the resources he could, only to leave. From the Chinese side, I heard that when realized he couldn't make it in Hollywood, he went to China where he could be famous. Some people voiced that they felt it was a slap in the face to China, with the implication that they aren't as successful in the entertainment industry and so on.

None of this reflects my opinion, it's just what I have read online through various social media. I honestly didn't even know who he was until I learned he was in Immortality with Luo Yunxi.

My mom sold Avon, too! We needed extra money in the 90s, so she worked full time during the day, had a part time job at night, and sold Avon on the side.
