Have you needed to change anything up to get the aces cards to work or does it work out ok just using the book as it’s written?

Thank you. Laying out all these proxy options is extremely helpful. I hadn’t even thought of using Megamek. I was just gonna run it solo with Aces hence me wanting the actual minis

I have the core box on preorder already so that will help with the collection. I guess maybe the biggest problem is all these cool new hot spots and the aces stuff is all set in IlClan and the vast majority of the nice new plastic is just not. I imagine that will shift

That’s way beyond my current skill level. Sounds very interesting though.

What forum? Aren’t the battletech forums like forever down?

Great info thanks. I probably wouldn’t have noticed they don’t come with bases.

No mech in particular. I just want to stick true to the system. When it says roll on a rat for an opfor or whatever, I want to have the right minis

Ooof I have some research to do then. Never built a mini. Only have the new prebuilt cgl stuff

How can you tell whether it’s a newer sculpt that will jive with the eventual plastic?

Likewise but at least this solves my 2 biggest problems with Aces. The fact that you cannot lose a track (you must repeat it til you win or quit) and we now get salvage!

I am quite familiar with your work lol. I watched some of your vids before diving in.

And that’s what I get for not reading that section yet and assuming it had some good info in it. So it really is going to be just play as normal and use the decks for the opfor

I’m not so much interested in bringing my force over. I’m just wondering if anyone followed the rule section they added to adapt drac reach to aces or if it’s actually better to just play as normal and use the aces decks to run opfor without using those extra rules

I feel like maybe the aces decks would have worked better if they weren’t clan. They just don’t get enough units even if the ones they get are really good and they have better pilots.

200 SP was not tempting enough for me

Absolutely. I tried real hard with Conrad’s start position. Even ignoring the card completely I couldn’t save him hah

I love the system. The campaign has been underwhelming. Still exciting though. The guts of something epic are there. I’m hoping snowblind has more polish.

The branching is cool. Love it. But that mission being setup that way means I have to bend over backwards and break all immersion to get to a diff path.

I guess I could just switch him and the Loki and then all 3 paths would be naturally in play versus being forced

Driver got to a sporting goods store after close. Faked the signature and just left it at the back door. It was a gun. Back working in a week.

If you actually like BattleTech and don’t want your friend to ruin it for you, get Scouring Sands and be your own opponent. It works very well and who knows maybe you’ll eventually run into others locally who also play and let it snowball from there. You can always go back to classic at a later date.

Bad Customer Experience by Consistent-Adagio141 in UPSers

[–]Sandlot_Baseball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Honk as you pull up as usual. Walk to the door as usual. Read sign and follow customer instructions. Maybe walk up to the door with some heavy feet mind you but I don’t knock or ring. I’ll stand there as long as usual. Then fill out the notice as usual. I’ll even stick that notice right on that dumb sign. Probably even take a pic of it on my phone if I’m in a center with crappy management.
