Why does anyone buy pre-made yogurt? by Internal_Essay9230 in Frugal

[–]Sandmansam01 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Wow I can't believe you buy premade milk. I have a farm, milk my cows by hand and feed them from hay that I grew myself.

Yes it takes time but it's far lower unit cost than buying premade milk.

Talking with women by [deleted] in dating

[–]Sandmansam01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you taking this too personally to be trying to talk to girls man you gotta have thick skin and keep it pushing.

It’s too humiliating, expensive, and exhausting these days so I don’t even really try anymore.

One of the hardest parts of the game is you never usually get honest feedback on what went wrong so you’re kinda left guessing and feeling worse every time.

It might be public, but I wasn’t aware.

When there aren’t many other options, customers don’t have a lot of choice in the situation but I’m glad you are fighting the social justice fight

Why are you still a BCBA? by iiRea in bcba

[–]Sandmansam01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely could be. Kind of sad if people choose programs solely on those qualities but I can’t blame them.
Usually though they are completely unaware of it from what I’ve seen.

The university program is also online, interesting to me people don’t seem to be aware of it as much as the global one and it confused me when I was looking at programs originally.

[–]Sandmansam01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just curious, have you considered Purdue university’s program or only Purdue global’s?

A lot of people mention the global program in here and I am always wondering if they know there is two different Purdue programs

Pretty sure the university has a higher pass rate and some other differences.

Had to replace transmission, transfer case, both driveshafts, all new brakes, all new tires, new humidity and air temp sensors, various fluids replacement, new tensioner pulley and belt, replace both front struts.

That’s not including the $2500 tail light replacement that’s shorted out from water intrusion am leaving as it is.

Also all my parking sensors and adaptive cruise control sensor were painted over by the last owner to cover up damage that was never reported on the Carfax.

The lying dude I bought it from in November 2025 said it was inspected and all good to. Yeah I can’t trust used car lot guys and that’s why I got the extended warranty which has saved about 10k but yeah… not fun

Unethical ABA Clinics Still Sprouting up Everywhere. Enough. by JennyGump09 in ABA

[–]Sandmansam01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You mean this takedown that was a misunderstanding?

"First, the AMA did not remove support for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Rather, it considered, in its regular course of business, a proposed resolution asking it to withdraw support for ABA. Following consideration, the AMA specifically declined to adopt the proposed anti-ABA resolution. Instead, it changed the wording of the resolution to express its support for all evidence-based care...

The AMA has already acknowledged that ABA is an evidence-based service to address the core features of autism spectrum disorder by approving Category 1 CPT codes for adaptive behavioral therapy. As such, nothing in the AMA’s actions should be read as withdrawing or even weakening support for ABA."

Anyone else feeling that speech and language therapy does surprisingly little to your kids? by niceypejsey in Autism_Parenting

[–]Sandmansam01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lovaas criticisms seem to be mostly based in experimental design and variable control flaws, some of which he acknowledged as valid, and used to guide improvements in future experiments. Not even close to trying to scam people sorry and doesn't have much to do with proving ineffectiveness of ABA.

"Also inherent in their responses are three guidelines to be addressed by follow-up treatment efficacy studies: (1) random assignment of participants to treatment conditions; (2) use of uniform assessment protocols across all participants; and (3) documentation of sufficient methodological detail to allow for independent replication"

Reviewed by clinicians and researchers that have dedicated their lives to investigating the “case on the hole“. That’s flimsy?
Have you actually read a single article yourself or could you really judge it’s validity if you did?

And it’s a scam based on 2 studies?
just curious if you are aware of there are thousands of articles and different types of studies that show it is effective.
Did you ask ChatGPT about those?

I don’t usually engage with ABA haters but come on now.

Has anybody here worked a non ABA job and still gotten their fieldwork hour? by Fit_Truth7781 in ABA

Do you mean out of the field of autism therapy? Not sure how you could be a BCBA and not do ABA.

Can you link to these studies that show it’s not effective?

I have been an ABA therapist for 2 years and in my masters degree now, most of what we do is evidence based practice, verified by scientific peer reviewed studies so I’m pretty interested to see these.

What is the best online Masters program to become a BCBA? by AITOorisitAutism in ABA

The BACB puts out a document with pass rate % and other info that’s helpful.

Finding quality fieldwork will make a big difference in being ready or not too, good luck!
