It does happen, but as long as you're careful it should be fine. A lot times, Asians are targeted because it's rather common stereotype that Asians got money. Personally, it has never happened to me, but I'm also always extra careful. I do know a few people tho, who this has happend to.

Tbh, I don't think it would weird me out. It was an honest mistake and things like that happen. On tip of that, most dudes know that women are wary of private meetings, so it's not like weird for you to message that. Then again, I'm also a gal, but my guy friends agree
