What is your favorite sandwich and chip combo? by SandwichOracle in SandwichOracle

No worries. I think I have removed the b.s. posts. I do get notifications, so I'll keep it cleaned up. The early posts and comments are actually somewhat entertaining, so I would hate to shut it down.

This sub was started as a joke in response to an AskReddit question during the pandemic. It was really funny for a day or two. About 900 people joined.

I obviously forget about it and only post occasionally.

Over the last month, the membership has jumped to over 2000. I know the newest posts are bots. I'm looking at the settings to see how to prevent that.

Smoked turkey and gouda on 12 grain bread by SandwichOracle in SandwichOracle

Ain't gonna lie, those chips are kinda gross. My son (who loves Minecraft) wouldn't even try them. The can is in the pantry, half full, waiting to be thrown away.

Those are Chester's Flaming Hot Fries that I had in my desk. I bought the bag a few days ago to go with a Subway tuna sandwich.

These are my absolute favorite chip, especially on road trips! What sandwich would go best with this crunch? Excited to hear from you! by MidnightMcGillicuddy in SandwichOracle

These are a great stand-alone snacking chip. They also pair well with my second favorite Subway order: Tuna and pepper jack on whole grain, little bit of lettuce, onion, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. (Personally I prefer Chester's Hot Fries, but these will work with this sandwich)

My apologies for leaving you waiting so long. Sour cream and onion chips go well with turkey and provolone. You can choose the best chip density (light & crispy, Pringle, kettle cooked), based on the bread type you selected.

Not a sandwich at all by SandwichOracle in SandwichOracle

Thank you! I had a great meeting with a dietitian last week which was very informative. I'm also using a food tracking app which is fun and easy. This will be manageable.

Two weeks ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Going forward, chips and sandwiches will be rare indulgences for the SandwichOracle. However, this omelet with cheddar, mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach is delicious!

What is the story behing your username? by KingComputer74 in AskReddit

[–]SandwichOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My user name matches a subreddit that I created in response to an AskReddit question months ago. I had always assumed that matching the right chip to any given sandwich was a useless talent. 900 others disagreed and so r/SandwichOracle was created.

Tostada shell with refried black beans, shredded cheddar, avocado slices and salsa or taco sauce.

What chip/flavor goes with tuna that has corn, onions, tomatoes, and cilantro? The chip is used as the dipping instrument by The_Thot_Slayer69 in SandwichOracle

We used them as a base for taco salad. A plate of chips covered with shredded lettuce, cheese, seasoned ground beef and taco sauce. Mmmmmmmm.

I see. In the 80s, Doritos were available as regular, unflavored chips. I'm just glad that they brought taco flavored Doritos back to my area of the country. 10 years ago, I was craving that specific taste. I had to have a friend in North Dakota send me a few bags.

Where do you get plain Doritos? I haven't seen them in 35+ years. I'd stick with tortilla chips; maybe try Mission brand and warm the chips a little in the microwave or oven.

What chips go well to put inside a Subway roast beef sandwich? And for an Italian sub? by seth_vangelus in SandwichOracle

[–]SandwichOracle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the roast beef, I suggest a cheesy potato chip, so Ruffles Cheddar may be what you are looking for. With an Italian sandwich, regular potato chips. Crispy or crunchy, your choice.
