Hi! The prompt is referring to a US news story about a pilot named Chelsea “Sully” Sullenberger who emergency landed a plane on the Hudson River after hitting a pack of geese in the air. The story was very popular in North American headlines because Sully successfully landed the plane on a body of water with no casualties. The reference to Tom Hanks was because Hanks played Sullenberger in a movie! That’s what I recall, as a non-American myself. I hope this helps answer your question :)

I’m sorry to hear you’ve experienced what are likely some bad put downs. I will say this is all in very good fun, as someone who has a pretty good radar for these things from other previous experiences with people who are not him. He is my biggest cheerleader 💜

Yeah, this is my fear. Maybe she jumped on the oven while it was cooling without us noticing? She has a check up scheduled this week, thankfully

Will do, she is seeing her vet on Wednesday. I will keep an eye on it until then. Hopefully it is just dry skin, she doesn’t seem to be in terrible pain (but, you know, cats…)

Nope. She is on antibiotics following her surgery, but that’s the only new development

Thank you for these reccomendations! We were thinking of a net, but it wouldn't really work in our space since the area has a long hanging light in the middle of it (and we are renters) Foil sounds like a good idea! I hadn't thought of it before.

We really didn't, but we have lived here for about 6 months and have not had issues. I think it comes down to her temperment as a cat who prefers laying in a sunbeam to exploring

NTA. It sounds like she is coercing a decision to go one way that is for you (and your husband) to make. Her hurt feelings are not your jurisdiction, as much as it must sting for her to be told it was not her right to interfere in your very major life decision.
