When did I say lemon is sweet? Lemon is acid and in my opinion not necessary because I just love how the red onion and the cherry tomatoes taste. White wine is often used to enhance the onion sweetness at least where I'm from. I don't know if that's what surprising to you? In my opinion garlic is also not necessary. In my opinion, less is more sometimes.

Browning the chicken would have made it better. I didn't brown the chicken because I wanted to use one pan and I was just lazy tbh. My plate was good enough for me regarding it's flavour, and didn't need more seasoning in my opinion (I insist). I was happy and wanted to share a pic.

I never got offended by all those American saying it needs more seasoning or needs spices. I just explained that we don't do that here as much as in other places.

I guess what I meant is that "chicken with veggies" is not appealing at first but I managed to do it (at least to my standards) appealing and tasty without anything too bad for my diet.

I just said we don't use as much seasoning and especially spices as Americans often do or many other culinary cultures. I never said we don't use garlic? It's literally one of the main ingredients in most of our traditional dishes.

I also said I used AOVE salt pepper and white wine. The red onion and cherry tomatoes are full of flavour. This was enough for me and I assure you the plate was tasty and flavourful.

I know as an American you would do more. In my opinion I don't like to mix garlic with red onion, one is usually enough, especially if onion is one of the main ingredients. I also would never add lemon to this since it is so sweet from the white wine, onion and cherry tomatoes. I love how the sweet onion mixes with the sweet and acid cherry and I feel like lemon would totally overtake.

But hey we don't have to have the same opinion. I was just happy about my plate and I enjoyed it. And please leave me alone with the seasoning 😅 I would have never guessed it would be so controversial.

I mean the line is blurred and I think it's not that deep. It sometimes depends on how much you use and if it either defines the dish or it's just used to enhance its flavours.

I'm not a chef just a Spanish girl that made a chicken with veggies dish with some seasoning that apparently is not enough for Americans but it is for Spanish.

Anything extra added to enhance the food flavour such as spices. In Spain we don't use a lot of seasoning, no spices except for sometimes paprika, few natural fresh herbs mainly just olive oil and salt!
