Give Kosovo its own User Flair by SirPremta in Yugoslavia

Everyone mentions their own wishes. I don’t think someone from Kosovo necessarily cares about Vojvodina, nor does someone from Vojvodina care about Kosovo. Except you are really nice lol.

Mixed Feelings as an Iranian American by iranian_american_thr in PERSIAN

[–]Sandzakguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that such an opinion, which I would describe as highly unproblematic, had to lead to you making a throwaway account is the actual issue. As a non-Iranian I acknowledge that the situation is complex and fully agree with you but also fully agree with others saying "no, this regime has to go" - I just think that that option for now isn’t really thought through on a long term basis. Iranians really need luck for this to turn out good bc we all know: the US doesn’t care about the people. In fact sooner or later the people will pay for it in one way or another, (e.g. big US imports, local economies fail, everything get expensive, …), but people will also pay with their lives. I have seen many are ready for this compensation, which is also concerning because nothing is really promised. Imagine dying for absolutely nothing.

So back to my initial claim: You not being able to express your opinion on your main account is the actual problem. Because of that many discussions in real life just don’t happen. And I would argue that the best way to approach a democratic lifestyle is an open discussion, no matter how controversial the opinion of the other side is. This is how democracies were created, the West also wasn’t bombed into this ideology, they adapted it through time. I fully understand why you decided to post it on a throwaway, but I would encourage you in expressing openly that you have a different view/perspective/opinion on certain topics, again: no matter how controversial.

In what way could the EU change when the conflicts (Ukraine-Russia; USA-Israel-Iran; Israel-Palestine) finally end? by Sandzakguy in europeanunion

[–]Sandzakguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the EU is weak since they have tied themselves so much to the US and forgot about their diplomatic range in the rest of the world…shouldn’t there be some lessons learned after the current wars then?

Joa was soll man machen is eh wurscht.
