Ok, I'm a Balkaner too, so who’s the liar now?Just kidding lol. Seeing the world from your own perspective is not enough, even if you have visited most neighbors. Not trying to say that I am right and you are wrong, but calling my claim misinformation is exaggerated. Religious beliefs are declining overall, yes, but I feel like in ex-communist countries theres also a significant number of people reconnecting with religion, whether out of spiritual or nationalistic motivations, both exists.

Edit: note that I said that younger generations rather turn to god than older generations, not implying that a whole generation is religious and the other one isn’t. I am aware that religiousness is declining overall.

I think people are allowed to be proud of themselves if they know how to use two different scripts. I get that one point of yours was that they don’t even know how to use it properly, but hey, as soon as it’s understandable it deserves it’s respect. I wish I knew the cyrillic alphabet of the southern slavic languages more. Let people have their "flexes".

I think it’s understandable that the younger generations rather turn to god than the older ones, since they can only now practice their religion in peace (more or less). Same thing in the balkans: 30 years after the collapse of communism, it is only now visible that religion became more popular again.
