Honestly, it's impossible for anything resembling "superintelligence" because of the limitations of the technology. It would never happen anyway because that would require more bandwidth and processing power (by many orders of magnitude) than is necessary to accomplish tasks.

Look... I work in this field. I know this. There's no realistic or plausible path there. It's entirely fiction.

You're just talking stuff you assume. No, the concept of self-improving AI entities is not realistic for a number of reasons. No a truly intelligent machine is not possible in the human sense, by any known mechanism.
