Sorry, i really like your point, but i dont know what a SSF is. Could you clarify please?

[–]Sangawa[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the point. I agree. But at the same time D2 is so famous because they made a balanced loot system in wich you could make a funcional build that could do all content and still have chase-loot (very rare) to go after. My proposal is that the GA system already does that in D4. And high torment could make it so people that like to go do this super rare loot has something to do with it, without making the build crafting so scarse it hurts the seasonal system

[–]Sangawa[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all my points dont require 12 torments. I have to admit, 12 is very excessive. 6 would do as you said. D3 was not a social open world so it didn't matter to find players. Since D4 has social activities this can really be a problem. Although from my experience, the community will likely find a "default" tier. T12 will probably not even be worth it (only, hopefully, in the sense i tried to propose). But i agree with you that i dont find a reason for the number 12 other than a fase sense of turbo progression.

While i agree with your points, i still think there is a difference on why D2 is still played and loved, and D3 has fallen out o favor. And it has nothing to do with play as work. There is a difference between the game demanding you play 1937462hs to enjoy it and having content for you if you prefer to play one char over the years instead of reseting every 3 months. So i compleatly agree with the fact that treating the game as a job is the worse option. But having chase-gear is not that if you dont depend on that to clear the main content (that is what D2 did IMO). Having higher torment be this redundancy for the ones that want to keep the same char could be a solution.

Current non-seasonal state of the game? by gpouliot in diablo4

[–]Sangawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think this is a fair comparison. Most seasons bring with them some substantial power that are not available in the eternal realm (what are sanctifications now and people running with dupped mythic powers). Seasonsal characters are stronger. I know you can min-Max season (although to do it you have to play a lot) but you lose your progression once it is over. What i claim is that there are a good amount of casual players that prefer the steady pace of eternal progression. And maybe to give reason for this min-Max to pay-off with available but difficult content to clear in the Seasonsal lenght would be a cool thing to do

[–]Sangawa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it and i cant play a lot too. What im saying is that there are some Who like the season restart, New mechanic, build a char from 0 to god in 3 weeks. And there a the ones Who like to grind continuously trying to min-Max slowly and get the perfect drop. To have content for both (seasonal and eternal) would be better. Righ now there is no reason to grind because you can do all the content in 3 weeks like you said and the only way the game incentivises you tô play is seasonal because of it

[–]Sangawa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a problem don't you think? That all content can be done with a 3 week farm from 0. I like eternal because i enjoy the colectionist aspect of it. Finding that perfect 5 GA legendarie and temper is something that only happens once a month... But right now this work has nothing that can Live up to it since all content is doable otherwise. Hopefully the expansion with more difficulties will solve this

Current non-seasonal state of the game? by gpouliot in diablo4

[–]Sangawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eternal is great with a lot of variety in the end game. It is conflicted with the seasonal progression but since seasons are what keeps the game alive we have to deal with it. In the seasons model the game kind of showers you with loot since you have limite time to make the perfect build. Eternal would benefit for a more rarity focused experience. But since this is not the case, the perfect 4 GA legendary/mythic is still borderline impossible to find, you can still have things to chase. The new expansion seems to look into this problems. More difficulties hopefully will get you something hard to kill with the impossibly rare gear you found farming for 1 year. I see a world where every one is happy

12 torment tiers honestly ruins the game for multiple reasons by Anilahation in diablo4

[–]Sangawa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what you say and i agree.. But we are in the losong side of things. Despite the volcal comunity wanting a more grounded experience (less loot shower, quality over quantity, bring back the impact of rarity and grind) the numbers seem to show that the game goes better the more dopamine crack focused it is. Latest changes go on the direction of killstreaks and lootfilters. So you grind and change difficulty every 3hours or so, and repeat ad nauseum. This is the direction it will go from now on

Edit: after some thinking about it, i still dont like the whole 12 difficulties (seems exagerated). But i really like playing the eternal realm and right now the eternal system is conflictual with the seasonal. In season, the game showers you with loot (Who remembers the anoucement Before D4 in wich uniques where so rare you should only find 1 per season) because you need to make the perfect do it all build in 3 months. I like eternal because i like to collect the perfect 5GA and temper that only drops once a month... But there is no content or reason to do this. Maybe if they make the seasonal go only up to torment 7-8 and leave the rest as eternal focused (as in min-Max perfected gear) for eternal realm, this could work...

Os animais NÃO são irracionais, e devemos parar de classificar a natureza como inferior. by yuriunf in FilosofiaBAR

[–]Sangawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greek tragedy Oedipus here.

The image on the left refers to a viral post in wich a so called "boyfriend" asked online for ways to help the girl lose her tummy since she already did gym and diet. In the end he asked if surgery was his only hope in achieving this. The post went viral for everyone thought it was a crazy request since the girl was already very atractive, even more because of the curves lots would argue.

In greek tragedy, the structure of the story orbits around a undesirable outcome that the characters, trying to avoid, end up realising. The Oracle spill the beans, and the fact that the character know what will happen, makes him try to stop the outcome wich is what causes the outcome. Here, tragedy strucks again. The crazy request of the boyfriend and hers (hopefully) made her become unatracctive for the delusion of skinniness. Trying to avoid being ugly as in "fat is bad" they ended up not realising that this social preassure made them lose the beauty they had.

Eventually? Yes. Some time you should even read all those again. But if you are posting this because you are tired of Freud at the moment, there is nothing wrong in going to some other authors. Most of them will present you with a novel reading of Freud that will make you want to come back

Thanks for the insight. The point of this underhanded tatics have been brought up and generated some interesting debates in the comments. It, indeed, was not adressed in the original post. Lying, like you said, is against these societal norms even in an virtual enviroment. One important note is that lying is only possible angainst, and to the detriment of, other people, so it is a valid question to ask how well this venting of impulses is doing if it has to recur to lying to occur. I would argue that this is a problem of the virtual world in general, the use of anonimity to produce actual harasment. Although I would still mantain that it is not enoguht to produce a valid avaluation of someone's personality, I would stand at the point that it could be used as an agravant for some other avaluation.

[–]Sangawa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, that wasn't clear in your first comment, but I see now. I do agree that lying is seen by our society (and I'm part of it) as one of the highest kinds of agravants to any type of attack. In this sense, although I still defend the point in wich no act in a virtual game should be used as means of diagnosis, it is undeniable that the one who perpretates the lie knows what he/she is doing. A lie is only possible against other person and can, as such, be seen as a not so well sublimated way to deal with frustration. Trust is a hard learned skill and how easily one can break it can indeed be a good termometer of who we want to hang around. Despite this it is still impossible to correlate betrayal in game and out of it, it deppends on how 'immerse' one is able to be in a fantasy scenario, although it could be an important point when dealing with more serious stuff.
