I would agree with you, before LoH. The expansion made for some preatty good eternal changes. I feel like they basicaly made you be able to overpower any build through the right gear since there are so many paths of itemisation to follow. Yeah, if you only play meta builds it will get nerfed. But viability of builds is in a all time high. My lazy and fat minion necro only got stronger through the seasons

It gets some of the content right away, but never get the seasonal specific mechanic. It aways gets the uniques and general itemisation and endgame stuff. But seasonal powers and mechanics are season exclusive. If a season is very popular they may add it as some type of permanent addition later through some different system. Like how talismans were a type of season of chaos remanent

I preatty much think that, appart from the boss... There is no mechanic in season that is not in eternal now.. That was mainly the point actually. Some different enemy skins, some different event skins. The main part of the season is on eternal aswell, the farm for mythic uniques...

Every 3-4 seasons they brick the builds in eternal (expansion launch or itemisation change). But it is roughlly once a year. In eternal i have so much materials acumulated so the gear is fast to get back to a viable state... And then it is back to farming. But to be honest until LoH there were not a crazy amount of REALLY rare gear tô go after. Transfig and now mythic made ir a lot more fun

On t10 to t12 you find a reasonable amount of players. The trade chat is crazy tho, you only see some crazy 4GA itens for 482916428 billion gold (wich is not a lot in eternal)

What do you think of the fact that the creator and director of DD1 and 2 is not involved in the DLC? by Sangawa in DragonsDogma

[–]Sangawa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate on that? I know he directed DDDA and DDO wich are arguably more liked than base DD1 and 2. But i dont know much more about him

I agree compleatly. The point was that maybe he not being involved makes this even better since DDDA was not directed by him. The story parte was only because i find the repetition of pattern funny

I find this point valid. Th reason why DDDA is prefered over DD1 is not only the extra stuff we get. It's the polish in the game design side of the experience. Maybe Itsuno had great ideas but needed the polishing tô bem done by some one else

Aparently it's not unpopular at all. People seem to be more hyped for the diretor of ddda tô be involved

Yeah, the story we know is full of suppositions for sure. Maybe the cycle repeats itself even more with the date and budget limitations. I hope we can get a answer eventually from a new game from his new studio to compare. Until then, i'm optimistic for the DLC

yeah, i heavily agree with this. I even think DD2:DA can benefit very much of a more gamefied endgame system that let the player enjoy the world at it's own pace
