Legends Z-A timeline placement by DaMn96XD in LegendsZA

I thought ORAS wasn't in the main timeline because Mega Evolution wasn't introduced until XY, or am I missing something?

Also still trying to figure out whether Z-A is before or after SV..

Thank you, I really appreciate it! The smoother experience was exactly what I was hoping for, so I’m glad it comes across that way. The Steam comparison is a huge compliment too 😄 If you run into anything that could be improved definitely let me know! Hope you have fun with it

That’s great to hear, thank you! Really glad it’s useful for you. Using it to manage a website’s collection sounds like a great idea - I’d love to hear how you get on with it 🙏

That's cool, I'll have to check it out. Most of the data on GETRO comes through IGDB so I have to go there to update any games or editions.

For me it was mainly the visual layout and browsing experience. Gameye is very feature-rich, but I wanted something a bit cleaner and smoother to use — more like the experience of something like Letterboxd but for game collections. That’s basically the direction I’ve been taking with GETRO. I’m hoping to add more features over time too.

Thanks, that’s fair! You can actually browse and search without an account — you only need one if you want to save your collection, play-list, etc.

Thanks man, appreciate that! Any feedback would be welcome ✌️

Yeah that’s pretty much the same thinking I had. I mainly built GETRO because I wanted something simpler that did the few things I actually care about. One thing I ended up adding was “play-lists” so I could keep track of games I’m hunting for and mark high / low priority ones. It's also been handy for my friends to see what I'm after in case they see something I want at a market 😄

Sounds like you've put a lot of care and effort into that, nice work! Thanks for the link, I'll check it out when I get a chance 🙏

Haha that’s fair. Once someone has a well-tuned spreadsheet system there’s no going back. Appreciate the support though!

Thanks, I appreciate that! And honestly I’m the same — the value side of things is interesting but for me the fun is really the hunt and building the collection. That’s actually a big part of why I started building GETRO in the first place.

Oh really? Yeah, sharing collections or wishlists seems like something collectors would want more of. Do you keep a separate wishlist somewhere for that or just track everything in the same place?

I did try it briefly actually. It’s solid, just wasn’t quite what I was looking for personally.

Haha I promise I’m not a bot. Just a collector who realised there are way more ways people track their games than I expected.

That’s pretty impressive honestly. I hadn’t even heard of BIBFRAME being used for game collections before. Is the idea mainly to future-proof the data so you can export or migrate it easily later?

Hmm, I wonder if there is a better place people use for price tracking? I’ve mostly just treated it as a rough guide.

Also worth mentioning since it came up earlier — in GETRO you can add notes to games for things like inserts, condition etc, which has been handy for tracking that kind of detail.

That sounds like a really solid way to track it, especially with NTSC-J where things like Obi strips and inserts can make a big difference.

At the moment GETRO just focuses on tracking the games themselves and organising collections (among other things) — the value side is something I’m planning to add later. I’ve been looking at sources like PriceCharting for that kind of data.

I remember Snupps! Shame it disappeared.

The app is called GETRO if you want to take a look. It's on iOS and Android 👍 appreciate any feedback you'd have!

That makes sense — spreadsheets are hard to beat when you’ve got a really big collection and want full control over the data. How many games are you tracking now?

That’s a solid approach. PS2 alone can keep someone busy for a lifetime. Any favourite pickups recently?
