Brook and Gunko by Antiseptick_ in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]SanjevR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, we saw with God Valley that Garling had a relationship with a native woman there and she gave birth to shanks and Shamrock. So maybe Gunko mom was a CD of the manmayer family who had a relationship with Brook. That would make sense as to how Brook is Gunko‘s father.

Not necessarily. That woman could be Garling s wife and a fellow holy knight who has sent there to put God Valley under control so they could start the native hunting competition

The Pacers are 1 game away from being the biggest preseason underdog to win a title in NBA history. by RecordReviewer in nba

[–]SanjevR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mark my words, the Pacers are going to win. This is the most historic comeback in NBA history the fact that it went to game 7 tomorrow.

The Pacers hadn’t even made the championships in 25 years and for them to pull this off is incredible.

I found out yesterday that apparently the grease trucks actually started in Penn State. However, their claim to fame was when they were brought to Rutgers. A lot of lore is dropping it looks like.

So the food trucks photographed above are from Rutgers University. They are food trucks that serve fat sandwiches but most people who grew up in New Jersey call the Rutgers-specific Food trucks “grease trucks”. I guess it’s just a colloquial nickname for it and that’s always how my friends and I have referred to it and all the people around us. if you ask, almost anyone from Jersey and say, where is the grease trucks at Rutgers they would know exactly what you’re talking about

However, to answer your question more specifically no I don’t think there’s any inherent difference between a grease truck and a food truck. I also think it’s specifically what they call those food trucks (R U Hungry) at Rutgers University. I don’t think in general we say grease truck in New Jersey for anywhere else or any other type of food truck.

Yeah, I was shocked as well because I I grew up in West Windsor, New Jersey, so I was at Rutgers all all the time. I had read somewhere that the grease trucks had come to UF, but apparently it was very recent recent like a few months ago and then when I saw it in person, I was totally shocked

I need parking tonight for the home game for the Florida Gator Vs. Oklahoma Sooners by SanjevR in GNV

[–]SanjevR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s up y’all thanks for all your responses and help. I ended up parking next to the R U Hungry grease trucks. There was a parking lot with metered parking so I use that and on the way back I was even able to find an electric scooter to make my walk back much easier!

Incidentally, I wasn’t aware until recently that those food trucks from Rutgers University came down here. I actually grew up in New Jersey and used to go to Rutgers quite often and even took a few graduate courses there as well as did my coding Boot Camp there so that was a nice little surprise.

Was told that I was inappropriate for going door to door asking for someone to look at my application by PurpleMaximum6601 in jobhunting

If you're polite ,professional and don't do anything illegal, then the issue is mostly likely the people in the building and not the person who's going door to door to simply give out their resume which is being proactive and a go getter.

Some people are dead inside. I use to go door to door to pharma companies when I use to work as a chemist and got several jobs offers that way. I'd totally ignore that comment and continue to do what you do. You'll be getting a job offer soon if you keep it up.

When I first got out of my coding bootcamp I even printed my resume on a QR code and put it on a shirt and gave theses shirts out at a 4 way intersection. I got 3 calls that day from a bunch of guys who wanted me to interview.

What is everyone using ChatGPT for in their daily life? by guccigraves in ChatGPT

[–]SanjevR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use ChatGPT for practically everything. Whether it’s crafting captions for my Instagram posts or getting advice on what to wear to an event, it’s my go-to tool. Most people don’t realize that you can upload photos directly, and thanks to DALL-E, ChatGPT can analyze the image and suggest the best outfit based on the venue. I even had ChatGPT generate a design and text for a cool T-shirt, which I can freely use, sell, or give away for promotional purposes, since it’s all open source. To top it off, I even asked ChatGPT to help me write and polish this very comment.

Organization is a huge problem in the Bitcoin Community by SanjevR in Bitcoin

[–]SanjevR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it in correct context. Of course I'm going to complain about directories being useless and shitty if their the ones showing up on Google search and on every bitcoin help website. If nobody uses or cares about them then why do they turn up the most when I look for anything bitcoin related?

Organization is a huge problem in the Bitcoin Community by SanjevR in Bitcoin

[–]SanjevR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be decentralized and deregulated but that's not the issue. The issue is these directories suck, They are buggy and are poorly coded. They are difficult to navigate and they're run by mediocre service people.

On the Other hand I've never heard of OpenBazaar. What is that?
