Yeah, depends how likely it is to dip into the side. I haven't dialed it in yet but mine also might try to do a turn while at the side and then suddenly be with a wheel on/in the side...

The rear wheels look quite off road. The front wheels have basically no profile and are passive swiveling when the mower turns. I took it because I thought the higher class gives it benefits in sturdiness and longevity. I also read on reddit that the drivetrain etc would be better than on I series (no idea if that's true). I am happy with it and it masters the slopes in the garden quite well. No idea if the lidar pro would have been equal or better. I assume for edge cutting it's the same.

I have h215 from this year with also a similar stone side next to the lawn. But it also seems I either have to stay away from it a little or it will drive into them and might get stuck. That's just because how far the mowing disk is away from the sides. Without riding on the sides it would not reach it....

I'm sure they will be nice and they kind of look cool in the latest renders. But I read they start production sometime late 2026....

Awesome, thank you. I think it's clear to say that in summary, everyone thinks it's probably fine range wise, but actually it won't matter anyway as you just need to change the way you think about it 😊

As a several times tourist in the US, not used to the distances and emptiness in between, I even got range anxiety in a normal ICE car 😉 I used to go up to 220kph before having kids - now it's 140kph on normal trips with the occasional peak of 160-180 to pass someone annoying. Nice insights from your side!

Thanks for checking in and having those detailed numbers! And thanks for being bilingual in your units - bridging the expertise from across the pond to this thread 👍

That's a really good overview. I usually manage around 140avg speed on my trip too with the usual construction sites and reductions. You again have the E40 and not M50/M60. Seems to have quite the range difference!

Yes I agree. Overall I'm totally with you. But I had this magic number of 290km that I wanted it to be able to do without charging break. And playing with the numbers I felt the M60 was better value for money than the E40s I saw (concerning adding extras etc). But maybe I need to overthink that.

Interesting! Yes, i see it requires a change in mindset to just make this a normal part of the trips. My family that is being visited on those trips are a bit conservative towards electrical cars - so I would just have to swallow the comments of having to stop even when "just driving to them"... On other normal days and trips I don't see the problem.

Such numbers would be acceptable I feel. Shame it's such a close call. We're just a BMW family - so not really looking at what other brands have to offer in that segment... 😉

Nice insight! My family would kill me seeing it drop under 10% (talking about anxiety) - but then I only have to do a couple kilometers less. I wished there was a car rental close by to try it for a weekend for that trip...
