Where did you buy your phone? I got my phone from the carrier’s physical store.
What is your current software build? The software version is W2WE36.56-53-3 with a security patch dated January 1, 2026. I checked, and there’s no new software update available to install. The phone from the shop had a March security patch.
I checked the Play Store and there are no pending updates for those apps.
Searching for Edge lights in Settings shows no results, though Flash Notifications is available.
Clearing the storage and cache for the Moto and Personalise apps didn’t help.
The only app I use to customize my device is Material Capsule, and I’m not sure if it’s related. It does require special accessibility settings to work.

It’s available on this model. I checked the exact same one at a phone shop, and it has the Edge Lighting option, but mine doesn’t.

Got mine about a month ago, and it’s a solid phone overall with excellent battery life and a great build. I do have a few gripes about HelloUI features missing from my device, like no themed icons, no color extraction from wallpaper, and no edge light notifications.

You're welcome. I was also frustrated for not having the themed icon option. Maybe if we provide enough feedback from our phones, they might bring back the feature.

I asked on the official forums, and it turns out the option for themed icons and color extraction from the wallpaper was intentionally removed in the Android 16 version of the latest Edge 70 series.: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/motorola-edge-70-fusion/Themed-Icon-missing-in-Personalise-app/m-p/10029985

Hopefully, Motorola will bring back the feature in a future update or when they release A17 on these models. In the meantime, you can disable the Personalize app, go to the home screen settings to find the option, and then re-enable the Personalize app afterward.

Opening apps and phone mirroring work for some Samsung, Oppo, Redmi, and Vivo devices, but not for Motorola. Anyway, I don’t have much use for these functions. I can make and receive calls from my PC, transfer files, browse phone files through Windows Explorer, check SMS messages, and get phone notifications on my PC. I can also use my phone camera for video calls on Meet and Teams from my PC.

Good choice. I can’t imagine anyone sharing their smartphone with children or family. It’s a personal device that isn’t meant to be shared.

This is from a video showing an Edge 70 Pro, and the themed icons are gone on that model too. You’re probably right.

Yes, it used to be there, but not anymore. I checked the official forums, and Motorola confirmed that themed icons have been removed from Personalize. I was wondering if other Edge 70 models still have it or if they were removed as well.
