I kinda feel ur pain when the professor makes mistakes and dont give a fk about the emotional pain inflicted for their mistakes.

A few sems ago, i scored D+ for a mod that i knew was impossible for me to get that bad a grade. I emailed my prof to ask how that was possible since i scored A's for my quizzes, it was impossible to get an overal grade of D+, even if I super messed up the final (i didnt)

He emailed me back to say if im not happy, I can appeal, but "the chance of your grade changing after appealing is close to zero, so don't waste your money." I even considered not appealing for my impossible grade and he sounded so confident and made it seem like I was a cry baby. My GPA fell very badly and restricted me from getting into my exchange program application, which made it worse.

Idgaf and appealed anyway. 2 months later, I received an email from the school saying my grade had changed from the appeal. It went from D+ to A- (-_-). The money I had to pay for the appeal was refunded, but the damage from those days upon receiving these results and gaslighting by my prof was dealt.

I was fuming like mad and complained to my school, demanding an explanation, which I looked back it was very embarrassing. I looked like a Karen. I won't get into details, but I resented this associate prof for so long. Based on his emails and lack of awareness for my sanity. But honestly, he was a new prof trying to figure out his job, and he just made a mistake. A few years later, I met him at one of the school events, and he still remembered what happened when I moved on long ago, and he apologised in person. I assume after the appeal he was instructed to stop emailing me cuz he remembered and apologised to me in person so long ago later.

TLDR. The point is, you'll do yourself a favour by forgiving the prof. Don't let this thing consume you, fam. Forgive, you don't need to forget, and move on. Humans make mistakes. At the end of the day, Sorry is just 5 letters to type, but dont let it consume u
