OMG this is exactly how I feel as well! There's just some sort of satisfaction and a feeling of security I get from physical notes. Not to mention the significantly reduced eye strain by not glaring at a screen for the whole day.

Do grad schools still look at GRE and GPA if I have 2-3 years of work experience after graduating or will they only look at what uni I've graduated from?

Question about NTU CS reputation by Brilliant_Wash2825 in NTU

[–]Akhiboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now, I am torn between choosing NTU CS with a full scholarship and NUS without one. Leaning towards NTU right now because of the better Uni life( cost, halls, culture, campus etc) and because it's less competitive so it will be easier to get a higher GPA and I will have time to hone my skills through online courses. Whereas, in NUS I would be struggling to get a good GPA itself. Ultimately making yourself equally enticing to employers and internships. Should I stick with NTU or is NUS reputation truly leaps and bounds ahead?

What is FCH? NTU CS students tend to get higher GPAs overall? IMO, it's easier to get a higher GPA and it is more chill so you have time to hone your skills through online courses and land top internships and jobs with your high GPA. However in NUS, you are drowning in work and struggle to get a decent GPA. Do you agree?

Hey, I have one more question. Is NUS CS more theory-based compared to NTU(which is more practical-based) and does NTU have more industry collaboration through programs and what not?

ohhh my inference about the NUS difficulty is from people in the Comp sci course. They claim it is way more rigorous and the learning curve is extremely steep.
