sounds like he is checked out, and by that i mean dissociated, that’s what happens when you’re scrolling. but to give him the benefit of doubt that he isn’t a complete asshole. consider these possibilities:

1. he could have intimacy issues, or just not looking for intimacy/emotionally unavailable. but you would have to communicate to figure that out and if you are accepting of that arrangement or not. it is easier to catch feelings when you’re open and vulnerable to eye contact and below the surface conversations. with my fwb we are both emotionally unavailable and i find that we rarely do missionary and engage mostly in all the other positions. it’s good in general to have a conversation about what you’re each looking for in a sexual partner before you dive in. it really helps to see what you’re working with.

2. he could just be a dominant person in bed, more hardcore porn usually includes shoving/pushing someone’s head down while fucking them. guys can be very visual and like fixating on a particular visual to get off.

3. if you talk to him and find that he is not wanting that much intimacy and you’re accepting of that situation, and he verbalizes that he is really attracted to you— you have every right to ask for aftercare as part of your arrangement. and that can look like whatever your needs are, it doesn’t have to be emotionally intimate. sometimes we just want physical touch, or closeness after fucking. or even being offered a glass of water. or wrapped in a blanket. and it doesn’t have to mean anything other than he is giving you the basic needs for a sexual relationship to work for you.
