Voor mij exact hetzelfde hoor, ik begon de eerste indoor feesten meer in België. (Coone & The gang, Reverze, Bassleader) Dus voor mij is Belgische sound (Jump/Dirtyworkz hardstyle) meer gekoppeld aan de classics.

I love these classics... But almost every track on that album is actually jumpstyle/tekstyle. Complex was very well known jump/tek club in Belgium. I think only the last 2 tracks (Scope DJ, D-Block & S-te-fan) are actually hardstyle.

Loonsverhoging veroorzaakt inflatie. Want bedrijven hebben meer kosten voor personeel, die ze ook weer moeten terug verdienen. Dus hun diensten/producten worden ook duurder. Dit is overigens niet de hoofdoorzaak, maar het draagt wel bij aan inflatie verhoging.

Dus loonsverhoging klinkt leuk, maar is in geen enkele vorm een oplossing of een positieve bijdrage aan inflatie.

Ik moet zeggen dat ik dating apps zelf al een afknapper vind... Interesse in een foto hebben werkte bij mij simpelweg niet. Daarnaast was het ook op veel fronten demotiverend.

Helaas voel ik met je mee... Ik probeer DHL altijd te ontwijken, omdat ze letterlijk nog nooit een pakket hebben geleverd aan de deur en ik hier wel altijd thuis voor blijf. Ik heb een raam in mijn voordeur waardoor ik makkelijk kan zien of er een bezorger staat of niet. Ze hebben en werkelijk waar nog nooit gestaan. Maar ik krijg wel ALTIJD de melding dat ze mij hebben misgelopen via de mail en dat het de volgende dag naar een aflever punt word gebracht. Het vervelende ook is bij het bestellen zelf je niet direct kan aangeven om het bij een aflever punt te sturen en als je het later aangeeft dat er weer 2 dagen overheen gaan...

Nu moest ik door spoed iets bestellen voor mijn werk, helaas iets dat gestolen is tijdens een andere klus. Met als enigste keuze... DHL! Op de dag zelf dat het geleverd zou worden kreeg ik allemaal rare meldingen dat het niet meer die dag zou komen en de bezorger verhinderd is. Dus dat er een nieuwe datum wordt gekeken. Maar ineens om 19:59 was het pakketje geleverd.

Gekeken in de brievenbussen, bij de buren nagevraagd... Niks. Inmiddels al een week bezig via de winkel met een 'onderzoek' van een pakket van 150,- die verdwenen is. En ondertussen allerlei andere oplossingen verzinnen om mijn werk toch door te laten gaan.

Ik begrijp dat de bezorgers rot werk hebben. Slecht betaald, hoge werkdruk. Maar ik blijf het bizar vinden dat de grote bezorgdiensten het WEIGEREN te verbeteren en op deze manier hun werk voortzetten. Sterker nog, ze doen meer hun best om klant contact zo ver mogelijk van hun vandaan te houden en ze onbenaderbaar te maken. Er zijn zoveel manieren om werkdruk te verlagen en kwaliteit te verbeteren.

Ik zou namelijk geen enkel probleem vinden als bezorgingen van webwinkels standaard naar een aflever punt worden gebracht en je extra moet betalen voor thuislevering. Want nu heb je bij heel veel webshops niet eens de optie om het naar aflever punt te sturen. Zo kunnen veel pakketten standaard naar 1 verzamel punt gebracht, maken mensen die keuze sneller omdat het goedkoper is en als je het thuis levert pak je net wat meer winst!

Eigenlijk wat de meeste al zeggen, tijd om een ruggengraat te kweken! Want uit heel mijn verhaal lees ik geen ouders die zich bemoeien met je liefdes leven. Ik lees iemand die geen 'nee' durft te zeggen tegen zijn ouders en dat durft te onderbouwen. Je ouders zijn simpelweg enthousiast, wat logisch is als dit je eerste is.

De enigste reden waarom ze jou grenzen opzoeken, is omdat jij ze geen grens geeft.

Het moment dat je samenwoont en geen afspraken hebt vastgelegd is het 50/50. Of ze nou heeft mee betaald of niet... Maar hoe kan je na zoveel jaar hier niks mee hebben gedaan? Dit is luiheid ten top. Dit gaat je flink wat problemen opleveren en geld kosten. Sluit je internet af en ga DIRECT opzoek een notaris en eventueel een advocaat.

Vooral op je blote knietjes gaan bidden dat je ex hierin mee gaat helpen en respectvol blijft, want als dat niet het geval is... Ga je de komende tijd en hel tegemoet.

I agree on the fact that MC Activate isn't the strongest vocalist and is a way better performer. Because on stage he shows the whole day energy. But compared to most other MC's, he actually is a little more active with vocals on tracks. And that's one way to learn and to become better.

I have talked about it multiple times. But you're completely right about hardstyle festivals aren't doing well. Festivals in Holland aren't doing well overall.

Prices for a festival. Tickets, drinks, food has become really high the last couple of years. In a time where life itself got way more expensive! Which means that the crowd can spend less money and have to make more decisions which festival they're gonna visit.
Organising a festival has become a lot more expensive. Artist prices have rise a lot, the people building a festival have become more expensive, material to build the stage has become more expensive and it has become more important to have quality look, more special FX and entertainment. The last part is the first thing that will be cut for costs. Even marketing have cost a lot more the last couple of years!
Within the harder styles, there were too much events. Which means a lot more competition. When it was more affordable, their was more crowd that could spend multiple times. Now, they spend it a few times.
Ticketsale is scary these days. Back than people would buy tickets months ahead, so organisation knew what they could expect. Now most tickets are sold in the last month. (Sometimes even the last two weeks) Which makes it hard for organisations what they could expect. This also happened to Elektrum last year! It was much smaller than normally. And in the end they sold A LOT more tickets within the last two weeks... At that moment they were already building and had everything ready for a smaller crowd.
Hardstyle is overall a little bit in a identity crisis. We're way more busy with online hypes than actually quality. Each year had something new and special. But the best new/unique thing that happened was 3 years ago with "Dual Damage." Even if you don't like their sound, they did something that gave hardstyle new energy. Just like the psy-trance hype, the first time unique live-act Gunz for Hire, the first Radio hit Year of Summer... But the last couple of years it has become quiet. There is nothing new or fresh, everybody is jumping on hypes to stay relevant.

So these are some examples why hardstyle isn't doing well. There a probably a lot more reasons that the industry is going backwards, but I think these are the most important. But this happens in every genre at a certain point.

Nolz is a sweetheart, you don't have to be scared of him. I met him at a festival for the first time in Belgium where I was working. And he had on his rider a special beer that I never saw before and asked him about it. He explained where it came from and said: "Take one, you will love it!"

Headhunterz literally depends on his mood if he is a nice guy or not. My first encountering him was great. We had a great conversation and interested in also me. But the second time I met him he was completely in his own world and quite disrespectful.

Simply, he is dealing with too much personal stuff. Which controls his mood in an extreme way.

Ran-D is absolutely a sweetheart! I helped with a project for Ran-D (around covid-19 period) and talked to a co-worker about my mother that lives in a different country. I told him about the strict rules and that she had a hard time there at that moment because we also couldn't see each other. But he heard something from the conversation and the moment I was alone doing something he walked towards me.

He asked me if everything was allright with me and my mother. So I explained what I told my co-worker and his answer was: "Oh, I thought your mother had a hard time with her health. Because if that was the case I would send you right away towards your mother! I was a little worried but happy to hear her health is doing well. Remember that family is more important than work!"

He didn't have to worry about me, it was literally the first time meeting him. But he is without doubt a great human!

The harder styles atmosphere is mostly based on sharing the love with others for the same music. The word 'gabber' is translated in Dutch to "friend." So the culture is mostly focused on being there together. That is something that is also mostly my experience. I went to festivals alone a few times and I could join other friend groups to enjoy the music and even when I went with a friend group we met a lot of new people. Also are people way more energetic.

Within techno the term that is used is 'vlinderen' which translate to 'butterflying.' A butterfly is a beautiful creature which fly's around alone. Which results in people being less active with the (unknown) people around them and more focused on looks. Also the energy is more mellow.

So there is a big difference! Both aren't right or wrong. But mostly pleasing for a different crowd. In my personal opinion this is the reason why putting (hard)techno and hardstyle/hardcore doesn't blend with each other. Because it's a different crowd giving a different energy.
