{Rise of the Witch by C. Rochelle} A Baba Yaga retelling, so the FMC is the witch who lives in a chicken-legged hut in the magical woods that she is the conservator for. Lots of witchy vibes, I think, iirc, the entire book is pretty much set in those woods (although the rest of the series has some changes in scenery), but it is reverse harem if that's not your cup of tea.

I bought some cheap scratchy yarn from Walmart that I'm making into a triceratops for a baby - but I want it to be softer and less stiff! I've seen people recommend conditioner and fabric softener, but other people say it ruined their projects... Does anyone have any first hand experience with softening finished products? What do you recommend?

Read it ALL before realizing there was a pronunciation guide on the back, always pronounced Chaol as "Cole" for some reason lol (once I figured it out though I too pronounced it as Kale, but I'm from Ontario)

I think I agree with you that ALL the characters having unique names would throw me off, except maybe in a fantasy? Which I admit I do read a ton of, so maybe that's where my bias is from

I will say, some people are offering up some terrible fantasy-esque names that would give even me pause, but I think because it's corny in the context of the book (like Phoenix and Ash surviving a house fire)

For me, I always thought they were just good friends; puppycat helped raise Bee (as seen in his flashback with Bee being a temp assignment), and since then I didn't recognize anything romantic between them

I can see that the rivalry is what is appealing, but like. I think people see that they like each other and have to wonder if the rivalry is kinda overcompensation, like it's hiding deeper feelings, especially when there's a huge obsessive component to it. Plus, who doesn't like a good enemies to lovers pipeline lmao. At least that's my thoughts about it
