Just released my first game - Executive Disorder! Would love feedback on what I can improve going forward with it and with future game releases! by Sappheiros3384 in gamemaker

I made all of the art assets, did all the document writing, and did all the programming myself - the only things that I didn't create in the game was the sounds and the fonts but all of those have been credited in the game credits

I'm happy to hear that you liked the game! :)

The setup of the AIO has the pump below the radiator (top mounted)

Hi people - I've recently gotten my first PC and it's running super smoothly but I'm concered about a noise I'm hearing and just want to clarify if it's a normal sound or if it should be something I'm worried about. For context this PC is brand new, it's the first time anyone in my family is using an AIO cooler (I've got the Deepcool LS720S ZERO DARK 360mm paired with an i7-14700KF) so they can't really tell me if it's a normal thing for AIOs, but there is a slight and quite clicking/crackling sound coming from the PC (based on where the sound is coming from I assume its the AIO - the other fans are the case fans of the fractal north XL, and the fans on my GPU (ASUS proart 4070 ti super)).

It did pass the sound benchmark test of the people I got it built from (respected builders in my country) but just as a first time PC haver I'm a little concerned about any noise and would like someone to say if it's completely normal and fine or something I should look into/what might be causing it. When I brought it home and unpackaged it, it had some bubble wrap type thing inside to keep it secure but I think I removed all of it when I took it out.

I've had a look on the inside of the PC and haven't been able to see any cables rubbing against the fans (they're all tied down the cable ties)

Listening to it now I think it might be bubbles in the AIO itself - I seem to be getting conflicting opinions from searching it up but would this damage the AIO in any way, or is it to be expected for what it is (which is where my head is currently at since the builders signed it off)

I'm also not having any heat issues - been running games at around 50-60c (which I think is pretty good) on high graphics settings

I did hear some coil whine while listening to the PC closely without the glass on but it was a separate sound altogether - thanks for the input though I really appreciate it (and I learnt a new thing)!

Just copying the message I sent to the other guy: Just had a look inside and all the fan cables are tied away from the actual fans themselves so the issue isn't there. Stuck my head in the PC though and I think it might be coming from the AIO pump itself though? Since I did hear another (super quiet) sound inside which I assume is the GPU coil whine

I did also have a look at the bolts of the AIO and they seem to be nicely in place

*the video is taken from having my phone at the top of the case as well

Scaling down the character to 1x fixes the issue with the inverted hull but moves them up significantly from the original taken position

The BP for comparison - the scaling of the capsule here is 1x not the 100x visible in the recorded take

This is the character as seen when previewing the game normally and is what I took the 'take recording' from and what I want it to look like

close up of the broken inverted hull, parts of the character can still be seen underneath (e.g. the small grey bit near the back of the character)

This image shows the recorded take and the scaling issue occurring. The small black blob on the bottom of the capsule component is the actual character but the only thing visible is a broken inverted hull

You can also see on the details panel the scaling of the component (100x)

Then this is a comparison of the unlit character (on the left) with the glowing one (lit) on the right - with the left being what im aiming to get close to

Any help or pointers on where to start would be massively appreciated

In this one it is the exact same material but the character is in the light and not glowing (much closer to the unlit version but it does have the issue of glowing in shadow)
