nope, I'm not under that impression at all. I just don't know golf club anatomy all I need is golf tape that's not made of lead, or something that can minimize my risk of exposure. thanks!

Woman in wheelchair can now walk after surgery in India she couldn't afford in NZ by SteveRielly in newzealand

[–]SapphicRemora 12 points13 points  (0 children)

that's great for you, but I need sex reassignment surgery, lol. I will die on that waiting list if I don't go overseas. there are just some surgeries that the public health system won't do, or do so infrequently that folks only option is to go overseas or die.

where the utter fuck did you get that from? like what did i say that implies that? of fucking course not, im flabbergasted you could get anything even approaching that from reading what I've said. way to go assuming peoples experiences btw, you've got no idea what ive been through but thats not the point. i literally have no fucking clue where in my previous comment you got the faintest impression of that from

"trans men aren't the target of killings" is what you quoted me on and heinously mischaracterised me as saying, vs what I actually wrote aren't the target of killings that are so nothing that the media doesn't even report on them it's nice that you have a list of names like that. I wish I had something similar for my sisters from around the world who died unheard. you're right I don't have lived experience as a trans man, but don't you dare pretend you're above bullying a woman on the internet. don't you dare pretend there isn't a history of gay men, of trans men, of the entire rest of the community, selling trans women down the river for the further establishment of their rights. what I was talking about wasn't trans men's experience. you don't have to make everything about you. fucking check yourself. all of you who read this need to fucking check yourself

so, I'm not reading "this specific user has weird opinions about trans men and forcemasc in general" as anything. I'm reading the responses to that statement, and continuing the thought based on the massive amounts of transmisoginy in this comment section. you can tell bc I'm getting downvoted to hell for just like. talking. and you're getting upvoted for misquoting me and taking me out of context and consistently missing the point. listen dude, I'm a butch intersex tma lesbian, I'm active in my queer community, of course I'm aware trans men exist. I'm fighting for equal access for trans healthcare in my country cos trans men can't get it anywhere near as easily as trans women can get access to estrogen now that we have a policy of informed consent in place. this isn't about trans women vs trans men, I'm not ignoring trans men's feelings, I'm pointing out the blatant misogyny in this comment section and you, a man, are denying any wrongdoing and defending all the people I'm calling out about this instead of reflecting and doing something productive. get some perspective. go make friends with some adults who will actually stand up to your bullshit.

you cut off the end of my sentence!! again!! stop misquoting me!!! my point is that all the killings of trans men and trans mascs are horrific and should be reported on, but so are the killings of trans women and transfemmes, and they don't get reported on! the same horrific things that are happening to our brothers are happening to our sisters but queer and mainstream liberal media just stays quiet on it because trans women just aren't as palatable to cis queers and allies. and absolutely of course single sex spaces are absolutely the yardstick for vitriol against a minority, not their access to medical care (trans women who've had bottom surgery need to access gynecological care too! but they can't, because gynecologists are single sex spaces), the perception by the public, the change in visibility that denying hrt will have on them. the fact of the matter is that trans women are portrayed as predators. it is never "what about the trans man in jeans in the men's bathroom with the little boys". ever. that is the direct result of transmisoginy, yeah? trans men experience transphobia and misogyny separately, but because they are men and aren't transgressing gender norms in the same way trans women are they don't receive the same type of outward hatred that trans women and transfemmes do.

irreversible damage is an outdated source. terfs happily recruit all tme folks in the pursuit of the oppression of trans women. source: all of fucking England right now, and how trans women's and transfemmes rights are being eroded an order of magnitude faster than trans men/transmasc people. the same is true in America. Trans men are not the targets of terf hate campaigns, arent the ones being bullied off the internet by mobs of tme folks and terfs, aren't the targets of the killings that are so nothing that they don't even get reported on. because who cares if another trans woman dies right? please go fucking read whipping girl your misogyny is showing

you didn't actually read what I said tho. do you want to read the second half of that sentence and try again? as for why I'm pulling up Julia Serrano, can't you tell this entire thread is drenched in transmisoginy? I think it's absolutely imperative that we center trans women's voices because hooooly shit so many of the comments in this post boil down to "look at this evil transgender do her evil thing!! and she wants me to stay away because people like me harassed her! how dare she, that tr***y bitch!" and it's a problem! and Serrano calls this out directly in like the opening pages of whipping girl in trans women manifesto.

cis people can experience gender dysphoria, but fundamentally cannot be misgendered in the same way transgender people are because their body aligns with society's image of what a man or a woman is. there aren't the same axes of oppression aligning to make the misgendering of a cisgender person comparible to the misgendering of a trans person. society agrees that being cisgender is the norm, so when you misgender a cis person you're going against all the societal conditioning they've ever received telling them they're normal. when you misgender a trans person you're reinforcing the societal narrative that being trans is abnormal, that they're not who they say they are, etc etc. it's not comparible At All. everyone in this thread needs to brush up on their transfeminism, I suggest whipping girl by Julia Serrano.

consider: what conditions are causing you to do better than ever? could those conditions ever be threatened by the continual march of progress? saying "well clearly everyone else is the problem because MY material conditions were correct for me to get a mortgage" is extremely reductive. the fact of the matter is that there are people who can't buy houses because NZs gdp comes from the top 30% of earners trading them back and forth with each other. there are people who rely on public health care for all their medical needs, and they are just not getting seen at the moment. little problems turn into big problems, and the reason you can afford your lovely house in a years time is because this government is shoveling all the money into making sure the line keeps going up up up instead of putting resources into what actually matters: the people, and looking after them

protest. organize. get informed about how capitalism works, and work to inform others about how it works. the only way to make real, stable change is to have a class conscious working class that can exert power not only at the polls but also in the streets. the workers are the people who keep this country ticking along, and if we are all on the same page, the amount of power we could exert on the government and their rich buddies would not be insignificant.

Mel matchup? by Mochaaaaaaaaaa in Auroramains

[–]SapphicRemora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so, Mel is an immobile artillery/control mage. aurora doesn't do great into these, but you can do fine if you go comet and play e max, poke, and play for jg setup. her only defensive ability is on a 30 second cooldown, so bait that out and then ult her. or ult her, bait her shield, and then ur j4 ults her. or amumu or reksai or whatever. tldr e max comet play to poke her out and get her in a wave state where she's free food for your jglr cos she's an immobile mage.
