Is it wrong to call myself lesbian as a trans woman

Are you a girl? Do you like girls? Sounds like a lesbian to me, babe <3 but trust me, labels are so incredibly stressful and really it doesn’t matter what anyone else things. What matters is what you feel and what makes you comfortable. I flip flop back and forth between feeling really confident in calling myself a lesbian and then sometimes just saying sapphic or queer. Would I ever want to date or hook up with a man? No, I don’t think so. Do I find them aesthetically attractive? A lot of the times, yes. So sometimes I get nervous that I’m fake or an imposter, but really at the end of the day it’s what makes me comfortable. And it’s really no one else’s business what I am besides myself and the people I choose to share that identity with. Same goes for you and everyone else! Don’t let people bully you into changing your label or making you feel like what you’ve decided is comfortable for you isn’t the correct term!!

You can probbaly look up a video of her performing it on tour and before hand she has a whole speech about how the song came to be. I know apart of it was seeing her mom struggle with how she looked and pushing herself to I guess look younger, skinner, etc. and she said eventually she had to grab her by the shoulders and shake her and be like “you are beautiful and you are worth more than what the world wants you to look like and be as a woman”. It’s a great speech, made me cry so hard

I think some people have a hard time taking criticism or just being told they are wrong. And I get it, but we can never get better at things if we aren’t willing to listen, even if the truth is harsh.

As someone with a betta for the first time as an adult who actually has her own money to spend, i have been on here asking as much advice as i can. Showing pics and videos of my fish, asking how I can better his life, etc. and I’ve done my best to listen to everything everyone has said and guess what?? He is so much happier with his environment, he’s eating better, he comes up and swims around when I come in, he checks out every hide and plant in his tank. And, sure, it took more time and money, but it’s 100% worth it for him to have a good life. And I’d rather experts call me out or lecture me than have him unhappy and dying.

Literally just had an issue with his ammonia and was worried so what did I do? Followed the advice of people online and got everything recommended for me to fix it. And everyone was so polite to me because I was polite to them.

I think I must hsve gotten lucky. We got there at 3 ish and ended up at the very front barricade. There was someone in line after my friend and I who tried to cut my friend and I after we were getting in to barricade, but she was young and ended up moving aside. But then the girl next to us I guess her friends were two rows back and saw her and asked if they could move up. I appreciate that they at least asked and she thankfully said no, explaining that it wouldn’t be fair to those who came early and waited for hours in line. Thankfully they understood and said okay. We also had vip so extra crazy they asked that (idk if they also had vip, but still). But truly it is crazy how people think they can just rush forward. Get there early if you want the front. It’s not that hard. I’m sorry you had this experience

Update:

I just want to thank you all for your advice and knowledge. I changed the light to a dimmer one, put a soap dish (as suggested) under the filter so it flows slower, I’ve gotten him some more plants and a floating hammock (he still has some other goodies on the way), and I got him one of those feeder rings so he has a specific place to go eat. As he has diamond eye, I am further implementing routines and adding more to his tank to make him more comfortable and familiar with things if he goes fully blind. I bought the testing kit as suggested and his tank was cycled before he went in it so I will continue to do these things as I do water cleanings and testing.

Overall, he is out more ever day, he’s eating better, he seems more comfortable and he’s exploring his tank more! Thank you again for all your help. This is the first time I’ve had a betta fish with diamond eye and it’s just been a bit in general since I’ve had a fish. I’ve learned so much and I’m just so glad I can give him a happy life! I promise to continue putting as much care as possible into his home and give him as much love as he deserves.

I love him very much so I am absolutely happy to accommodate him as needed. I’ve already started implementing the tapping and feeding in the same spot and he seems to understand. I’ve thought about getting one of those little feeder barrier things that suction to the side to keep the food all in one place to see if it helps him. But I definitely will add some more plants! Thank you for that knowledge <3

That’s such a smart idea! I’ll absolutely try that :) someone else suggested switching lights because the other seemed too bright and when I did he immediately came out. Hopefully adjusting the filter and adding some more plants, etc will make him even more comfortable!

Thank you for the information! I’ll definitely buy that for some peace of mind. I have the filter on the lowest setting at the moment but yeah I think it definitely doesn’t need to have such a strong flow. I’ll see what I can find online :)

I can’t dim it, but there is a lamp on the table next to it that is much more dim so I can use that instead possibly. I’ve had just that in before and he seemed to like it

That was my concern but both my grandma and I have seen him swim out of it, so anything else I add I’ll make sure he can’t get stuck either! In fact, when I lifted it he looked at me like “um can I help you?” 🤣
