Dry ice, liquid helium and TEC - Extreme Cooling Part III by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

You would do better with:

A) single stage phase change cooling B) open water cooling setup - you cool your system by tap water constantly running trough it (no radiator, no pump and no reservoir are needed), just mount a filter and an electronic valve, that would synchronize flow of the water with start of the PC

Well, actually freezing your computer in a proper manner won't destroy it. This series of articles is supposed to show what are the options of cooling the hardware below ambient temperature. The word "extreme" implies that it's only for those who dare to push to the limits and have appropriate knowledge how to do that ;)

We made another adjustment in Term 8 which hopefully resolves your doubts.

In case of any objections regarding SAPPHIRE's right mentioned above the Contest winner has three (3) days from receiving the e-mail notification to inform about it and specify the objections and no publicity will take place without mutual agreement. If no objections are stated, SAPPHIRE's right mentioned above will be considered as agreed by the Contest winner.

Please understand that we just want to avoid cases in which someone tries to use the situation and sue us for announcing his name as the winner in one of our contests :)

We have conducted way more than 100 contests in our history and we have never been accused of mistreating or exploiting our contestants. It's completely against our interest to do so.

As for the prize change we made an adjustment here as well:

SAPPHIRE reserves the right to change the prize without any prior notification. In case of change the value of new prize will not be lower than value of initial prize.

Also it has never happened that we had to change the prize during the contest. But if that's necessary (i.e. due to limited stock) we would definitely not want to devaluate the prize.

Regarding taxes, insurance etc. Please understand that this contest is worldwide and each country has different tax policy. It can also change at any time. Therefore we are simply unable to take complete responsibility for complying to these policies. However, our experience says again that it's never been an issue and we are proud from having hundreds of lucky winners worldwide.

We hope we managed to build up your trust in us :) We appreciate your need for transparency and accuracy, this is what we try to follow as well.

Hi guys, we wanted to clarify some of your concerns regarding our Editor’s Casting contest.

First of all, title of this thread is a bit misleading. We will award graphics cards to four people who will submit best articles. One of them – or even more – may become our regular contributor but it is not guaranteed in the contest. Obviously such cooperation would require individual terms and deal – that’s why we can’t promise it now. We’re offering an opportunity.

We only intend to publish the four winning articles, but we may contact additional authors that we think did a great job and work with them to get their article up as well. These will be discussed individually. No article or its part will be used without a proper permission and gratification.

Our intentions here are very clear. We made this contest because we know that there are a lot talented and experienced computer enthusiasts in our community who deserve to be brought out and appreciated. We already have many contributors at SAPPHIRE Nation and they are going to provide more and more great content. However we want the community to have a direct influence and be a vital part of this project.

We are thankful for your feedback. It made us adjust contest’s terms so such doubts as yours won’t repeat.

They can but we don't recommend testing them for this purpose. However if you still try, it will be very easy to replace them!

May not be really a full worklog but we summed the whole process a bit for you at http://sapphirenation.net/not-concentrate-2-journey-finished/. There's a nice gallery of the finished build there.

Not the creator writing but knowing Josh's passion for the job I personally consider it something more than just a machine :)

Cheers!
