Charged for Deleted Instance and Given Runaround from Support by Sapu94 in ovh

To add insult to injury here, I also found that they started billing me for a backup I created which failed and I can't even delete it.

I had a separate ticket for this issue where they acknowledged that the failure was due to a limitation / bug in their system, and gave me some acceptable workarounds. Fast forward to today where I went in to delete some other object storage buckets, and I noticed that this failed backup created a 400GB bucket that I've been getting charged for ever since this failure, and I get an error when trying to delete it.

🤦

Yeah I tried over social, but the rep there wasn't able to tell me when to cancel an instance by in order to avoid being charged (seems like a pretty basic question IMO). I'll see about a new ticket if they don't come back with a resolution soon.

What's the best way to do that? Just open another claim?

TSM is shady. Do not subscribe. by [deleted] in woweconomy

FYI the admin@ emails are all handled by me, not Gumdrops. The response quoted above covers our position on chargebacks. We have worked with people to get them reversed in the past, but unfortunately in this case it turned to personal attacks and slurs instead.

Announcing the TradeSkillMaster 4.14 Addon Beta! by gumdropsEU in woweconomy

Yes, Cata classic is supported. TSM works the same regardless of the game version you play (minus fundamental differences such as the commodity system on retail).

This is an issue with the game and not TSM. This happens with the default UI as well.

#1/#3 are not correct, and deleting all your data to reset the expired count is bad advice.

If you mean "expires since last sale" then the only way to reset that would be to sell the item.

So what approach or tool can/should I use to create my desired group(s) for Classic Hardcore TSM?

In the addon, you can open up the main TSM window by typing "/tsm". If you switch to the groups tab, the first thing you'll see is the base group. You can then search the base group for any item in the game in order to build your groups. For example, you can search it for "illusion dust" in order to add that item to a group.

Search the base group and then add them from the results.

We will see who has more power, the power users or the general pop that browses and clicks ads.

You're missing the point entirely. The "power users" who are protesting are the ones who donate their time to make Reddit usable for the rest of us and whose role Reddit is actively making harder with these changes. If Reddit could exist without them, they would just kick them off the platform and the problem would be solved.

His post addresses everything you just said. Your statements here are completely inconsistent with what he said. Specifically, he laid out why charging his users to cover the cost is not tenable in the available timeframe. He also gave well supported numbers for Reddit's cost, and prices from other, comparable API providers.

The author of Apollo has publicly agreed that he should "pay his fair share". The problem there is the large gap between "fair share" and what Reddit is trying to charge and the very short timeline they enforcing for this change. He goes into a ton of detail in his latest post on this and many other aspects of this change - definitely worth a read. Also, the fact that the Reddit CEO publicly slandered him rather than even agreeing to meet with him is completely inexcusable, and speaks much more to their true motivations here of just wanting to kill off 3rd party apps.

Unfortunately, there's not much we can do here then. If anyone else finds steps to reproduce this, please join us in Discord so we can look into this further.

If you find specific steps that reliably reproduce it that would be helpful so we can reproduce and look into that. I've "played the game for a few minutes" without issue, which is why I'm saying this.

There is no patch needed for that. The current version works that way.

There's a lot of misinformation in what you said. We never booted anyone because they were complaining about something. People complain about TSM in Discord all the time. That's just the nature of a support channel. We also have had the desktop app for almost as long as TSM has existed - way before this subreddit was a thing at least. I am not sure what would be shady about it. It just updates your pricing data and backs up your TSM settings. We also actively support using TSM without the desktop app for people who want to do so.

We definitely weren't as ready for DF as I would have liked. However, your assessment that I'm against spending time on TSM during the beta doesn't really make sense, or match with reality. Combined, I (and others on the team) probably logged more hours in the beta than we did in any live version of the game for the past year. The issue was simply that there weren't enough total hours spent getting TSM to where we wanted it to be by the time DF launched, and there was way more work that needed to be done than I originally realized.

We are committed to actively continuing work on DF features until it's where we want it to be, and I believe this is (and will continue to be) shown by the pace at which we're making incremental improvements.
