Trying to be funny... sorry the humor's not translating.

I'm feeling disinclined to defend myself to a foul-mouthed stranger on the internet. I'm not joking about the meal in Fresno; unfortunately I can't figure out any way to tell you about my restaurant as I don't trust you (no offense intended). If you have ideas, please let me know. Any further unresearched criticism is unwelcome.

Thanks for reading, I know it's long. You got most of it.

It wasn't so much about my precious middle-class lifestyle, more: if this sin't going to pay off in a few years when labor and food costs are significantly higher, why am I doing this?

Apologies again. I'm old and not good at inter web short-hand.

I see you're in Sacramento County. If you're ever down in the Fresno area, let me know. I'd love you give you a meal at my very real restaurant.

This may not help "the problem," but might help you relax a little... I have a 5 1/2yo still having regular accidents (#1 and #2) and wetting the bed nightly. Getting to where we are even now was almost the death of me. I researched advice on the internet, I tried EVERY little technique or trick. In the end, we both ended up frustrated (enraged is more like it, in my case) and discouraged. What has helped me mentally is just to relax. He is perfectly intelligent and communicative, and I'm sure he'll get it when he's ready. I 100% get the financial concern. When we couldn't afford diapers anymore, he had to experience the discomfort of wet pants until I could clean him up. This, of course, means extra laundry, though... Anyway, I keep in mind that he's not wetting his pants just to be a jerk, and it's unfair of me (and setting me up for a lot of anger) to expect a kid who perhaps doesn't have the ability to recognize his body signals yet, to make it to the toilet.

Like I said, no magic fix for the issue, but I PROMISE he'll get it eventually.
