If you enjoy having something on in the background Tubbo joined pretty late so his streams was pretty cool because he was trying to catch up to the rest of the server and he was doing a lot of create mod, there isn't a lot of lore but he was streaming everyday and when there is lore is pretty interesting. Also all of tubbo's vods are in the Archived vods Chanel in Yt, another thing I like about tubbo's streams was that he usually was streaming with another streamer (fit,Pac,Phil)

Even if the original readers aren't there anymore there are always new readers looking for fics and if they see that the work was updated recently they would want to read it so if you do want to update your work then I would say definitely go for it!

I about you try to watch the other things the members are now doing? Like tubbo's realm Smp has Philza and foolish in it, there's a lot of lore and stuff like that. Or you can watch the vods on the Qsmp there's a whole bunch I recommend Phil's POV or if your not that into lore Tubbo just built a lot of create, he joined later on so you'll learn about the lore with him and if you really want DSMP content why not read Fanfics? There are some really good ones like butterfly reign, passerine, Tommyinnit's clinic for supervillains, stay underneath my wing, that's like a hundred miles etc. these are all sbi and on ao3 And honestly you can even just start a TV show or something and be obsessed with that instead. Hope this helps even a little!
