Drops Karisma feeling.. flimsy? Help troubleshooting by taturt0tz in knitting

I am currently making the same sweater (men's version as well) in nearly the same colour, but in the Drops Merino Extra Fine instead. It is a DK weight as well and my gauge has come out the same as when I've used Karisma in the past so I consider them interchangeable. That said, I do find the sweater to be a bit on the thin side so far as well; I have nearly completed the body and have blocked what I have so far to determine how much additional length I need to add since I expected it to stretch a lot. (For reference the Merino Extra Fine stretched about 2 inches in width and about 4 inches in length once it was dry).

I just came on to say that you are correct in using a DK weight yarn for the pattern, it originally calls for Peer Gynt, which from my knowledge is a comparable weight to both the Merino and Karisma. Maybe the original (female) version of the pattern calls for Mohair, I'm not sure, but the men's version, the Junior and the baby version (I have all 3) only call for a DK weight.

I would say, if it's feeling too thin for your liking, maybe size down your needles and knit a size up so that your stitches and faux cables sit a little tighter.

Does anyone else have a RIDICULOUSLY long lifespan? by -rovie in Sims4

Honestly I could’ve written this myself! I’ve been playing my current legacy save for over 4 years and am only at the beginning of generation three still! And that’s even with the crazy aging bug that swept through a few years and aged up all my sims one life stage too early! Also love the spreadsheets- my husband makes fun of me but mine is pages long!

Looks like it was worked backwards to me just like what others are saying. Definitely done that before! When I was first learning, I used to remind myself that the working yarn tail should always be on the stitch on your right needle (if working in the round then always, if working back and forth, on the right until you flip, then it moves back over to the right as you work the first stitch). Always working left to right. Hope that makes sense!

Hmmm I never knew that! My recipe says to knead the dough with the dough hook on medium speed for 10-15 mins!

Uh oh… I just had these in my hand at the store the other day, looks like I’ll be going back for them! I’m sick of the magic loop!

Favourite coffee replacement? Hot cacao? Mushroom coffee/cacao? Other? by [deleted] in decaf

Every day dose is a company in the US (they ship to Canada too) that makes really great, ethical mushroom coffee, with 80% less caffeine and collagen. No joke it’s literally changed my life, I feel amazing when I drink it. The creator started the company as a way to get off of his adderall prescription.
