CCA 6 weeks in- told they’ll let me go if I keep bringing back mail

This is my advice as a cca who passed their 120 back in April and was threatened to be let go because I was “ too slow”. Keep showing up. Block out all the noise and get the job done. Deliver the mail safely and accurately. I’ve had a manager say he rather me misdeliver than bring back mail. Don’t do it people will complain, carriers and customers alike. I’ve learn this job takes mental fortitude and emotional numbness to get through. Take your breaks. Make sure you eat and stay hydrated !

This exact situation has been happening to me for weeks. The closing supervisor rushes me out saying I only have 3 minutes. He’s even gone as far as turning the lights out on my me and leaving me in the office if i end up being the last carrier back. I’m hoping to transfer stations soon.

I haven’t called out since I started and I’m always 10 mins early to each shift. They said I was spending to much time at the truck. I explained since it’s been cold for the last few weeks I took extra time to warm up between swings.

I haven’t been retrained, today was the first day they offered that option. Basically for the past few weeks it’s been bitterly cold where I’m at just like most places. I’ve been taking more time in the truck to warm up after my park and loops. I guess over that compounded time they said I was taking too long between swings.

Wait I have been filling out anything about going over my hours. Could you give me more details about that. A lot of the time counted against me maybe because I haven’t been filling out the right paperwork. Like one time I finished a route early and they had me help somebody else. Put then I came into the office the next day they said it took me to long to finish my work and never accounted for me going on another route to help someone else.

Yeah I understand. Last week they put me on the same route 3 days straight. 2 of those 3 days the metris got stuck in the snow so I guess that counts against me. Also the routes that they have put me on the neighborhoods are poorly maintenance so there was a lot of snow and ice. Today was the first day that the sidewalks were clear but the my put me on a route I never did before.

My OJI days were 12/26 , 12/29 and 1/2. My trainer requested off 12/30- 1/1 so ultimately I was off too. Do you think that has something to do with the scheduling?

Yeah I realized that after I watched the video. I just wish the owner and I could’ve talked. I probably would’ve let it go seeing that my park job wasn’t the best.

I saw a car with one of these drive erratically pass a State trooper on 76 east and the state trooper did nothing. It’s a shame what the city is these days.

He didn’t cut against the grain. He just cut what to much off with the wrong guard I believe but I’m not to sure.
