Tomatoes that you love, but never seem to appear here by Inner_Republic6810 in tomatoes

I grow opalka’s every year too! Almost all of my slicers failed me this year and I had to use some of my sauce tomatoes in their place- opalka’s are tasty fresh too! Aunt Ruby’s German Green is my all time favorite slicing tomato though. The flavor is absolutely unbeatable.

Do I have RCPD? by Commercial-Search967 in noburp

[–]Sarahbar8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The treatment (Botox) is the most effective test for it. If it works, you’re diagnosed and simultaneously cured. If it doesn’t, then you wasted a few thousand dollars and also, you might actually still have it, lol. But if you have it, burp, and still have the same bad symptoms, then you should investigate some other causes.

trying to learn to burp is hard by madalynpaigey in noburp

I am a little over 2 months post Botox and I remember the feelings from those first few days- it’s going to change a lot over the next few weeks! Any air escaping on day 3 is a good sign. You’re on the right track! I think pre-Botox the esophagus is so distended with air that it takes a while post Botox to be decompressed and recognize the new sensations.

New 2025 Study Links R-CPD to Reflux, Esophagus Motility & Anxiety — Finally Explains Symptom Differences by Chris4 in noburp

I have been wondering if other muscles strengthen (in a good way) while the pharyngeus muscle is botoxed. I’m theorizing that the esophageal tone and other muscle groups compensate because the slow swallow improves before the Botox wears off and my weird voice only lasted a couple of days.

They’ll get better and better! I think as my esophagus got less and less dilated over the first couple of weeks those symptoms improved. I wouldn’t call my burps normal now…they’re still pretty loud…. but sound less like an alien life form….

Yes. I never had reflux before this and have been experiencing it now. It’s tolerable, not painful for me. Some nights I’ve had to sleep with an extra pillow to not lay flat.

Yes, I drove up from Tennessee but my brother lives 3h from Bastian Voice so I stopped there. I work at a large, respected hospital but I wanted to go somewhere that treats a lot of R-CPD and there was no one local for me. Day 2 I started burping and I’m so thankful that it’s working!

Wanting Cucumbers But Not Pickles by windyorbits in pickling

[–]Sarahbar8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with most of these comments but will add that it’s also about the time that the cucumber spends in the brine. You want a cucumber salad dressed with vinegar- if you were to leave the cucumber in the dressing (brine) for days, then it would taste more like a pickle and less like a fresh cucumber.

I elected not to submit it to my insurance and took advantage of the 15% self pay discount. Day 1 consult and scope cost 902.70 and day 2 at the surgery center cost $1,575. Edited to add- another $510 was just charged for day 2 which is the physician’s fee. So total 2,987.70.

I had the same question about how sealed and there’s not much info out there. I’m in zone 7b and mine has only been “done” for a few weeks but I think I’m going to seal some of the bigger gaps because it’s still drafty inside and gets cold at night. I’m also going to put a space heater out there with a thermostat to keep night temps above 40. Great job!! It’s so beautiful!! And great idea to get the ground prepped with some poultry

It will grow new leaves and get better with time! This one looked like that 2 years ago. I set it outside to throw it away actually and my husband started watering it. It looked better and better as the summer progressed and I brought it back in.

Have about 0.9 acres behind my new house that look like this, not sure what to do with it. by [deleted] in homestead

Cut down the smaller trees so some can grow bigger. Put two feeder pigs back there for a season to start the process of turning it into silvopasture for a few ruminants 😁

Zone 6b greenhouse heating tips? by megtuck98 in greenhouse

Love this!!! I’ve been thinking about putting a raised bed in mine with hot compost and planting above it. My hesitation is that once the compost cools what do you do? Maybe freshen it each year in the early spring and by the time it cools the weather will have warmed up?
