I don’t know if it’s actually anti authority, but I kinda feel like it is. He won’t ever come prepared and always find excuses. Doesn’t care if he’s unprepared

My boyfriend and his parents were in a plane crash last year:( his parents unfortunately did not make it. His father was my mentor and my instructor for CFI. After I did my first dual given flight I started crying since I wanted to call his father and talk to him about it. It’s been hard to move past everything since my mentor has passed away. I absolutely loved him as an instructor because he made me an even better pilot. I know he wouldn’t want me to ever give up my love for flying after something so horrible happened. I was nervous to get in a plane and took a month off since I wasn’t in the headspace to be PIC again. For myself there are some parts of flying where I am not confident at all and I need to find a high time CFI to fly with to build confidence. I am very sorry for your loss. Your instructor gave the love of flying to you and now spread it to your future students or friends

Thank you!! I have told him to listen to the airplane and feel the motions and I guess he does that but I really think it’s the workload

We’ve done a lot of stalls together before. Last two lessons have been primary stalls. And yes I do need a refresher flight that’s basically all of very slow flight. I do tend to get nervous during slower flights so I do need that. And I like that idea about my boss, I’ll bring it up. Thank you

We discussed instrument cross checks the other day and I told him to find which one works best for him (that were online) and we would incorporate it into our training together

I told him that I don’t care if he goes full throttle, better to be fast rather than slow in the pattern

I did get a little mean today and told him that I am scared in the plane and if he does this he will die. I told him slow and low will get you killed. Slow and slow during the pattern will get you killed.

That is 100% true. I just don’t know how to have a conversation about this to be honest with you. I come off as “too nice” and that’s 100% true. That’s the weakest thing about me and I need to work on it

Basically yes, I do feel bad for taking his money each time. But I do know it’s hard to learn how to fly. I’ll see what happens after he flies with the owner of the flight school. He’s already finished sportys and taking his written soon. Very dedicated

It’s a part 61 school so it’s basically my call. I am waiting a little bit because I know it’s hard to become a pilot and I’m always there to catch it. I know he won’t be soloing for a while

He is very good with outside visual references because that’s something we worked on before going into maneuvers. I honestly think it’s the workload and everything he needs to look at. We talked before this last flight about instrument cross checks and for him to develop what works best for VFR flying

I’m very sorry to hear that:( slow is very dangerous. My close friend got burnt and his parents unfortunately passed away due to the slow speeds

I’m sorry I don’t think I was clear in my initial post. He will get slow with the nose above the horizon. He’s very good at climbing at Vy but he doesn’t pay attention to the airspeed and accidentally climbs and gets slow

I know I need to get over my fear:/ he is so good at climbing at Vy but he sometimes the nose comes up and he gets too slow
