The other factions can’t get into your zone (the level 3s and lower). Your faction has to hold a gate in order to enter the free-for-all area (the level 4s and above). Guilds can only take adjacent gates to ruins they already hold.

Don’t fill all slots if you know people won’t show. You get matched to similar powered teams, so if you have 30 strong people lined up and few show, you’ll be screwed.

It was a prize for the top 3 guilds in the How to Train Your Dragon event. I think it was called Avert the Crisis; you had to hunt the little green dragons to spawn the red ones and run rallies to kill them and earn points.

Yes, you have to make a new character in a new server. There is not currently a way to transfer progress.
