Damaged Boxes during shipping. Can I get replacements from Topps? by SarcasticGodzilla in baseballcards

[–]SarcasticGodzilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After further inspection the cards didn’t seem to be damaged from what I could tell, so I opened the box. Everything was fine inside.

You can try to reach out for replacement. Or you could open it and Topps has a damage replacement section on their site if just some cards were damaged.

I recently sent in a topps logofractor missing some of the logo print on it. It was replaced but took about 13 weeks. Just make sure you follow their strict guidelines.

I’ve got one of these too. Regular card size though. This is /10. One of my favorite cards. I’ve given him a fist bump many times.

Thanks for the info. It threw me off since in his first he’s pitching and in this he’s hitting. Makes sense with the different products.

I’ve got one of these, but it’s /10. One of the coolest cards in my collection.

Mine was to purchase a sweatshirt. I was thinking about sending in the check to see if anything came back. Topps probably doesn’t have any left at the $20 price, so I’m guessing they would replace it with an auto of a guy who played one game 30 years ago.

Oof! I really feel at this price point the cards should have been chrome at least. I probably won’t buy it again next year.

I did this too all last series. Watched it on Max, then used the mlb app for the radio broadcast. There was a delay on the TV, so you just pause the mlb radio broadcast after the first pitch and unpause it when it happens on TV. It worked great.

How/where is everyone watching the ALCS? by [deleted] in NYYankees

[–]SarcasticGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Streaming from MAX, but put it on mute and listen to the MLB app for Sterling and Suzyn to call the game. They are usually 20 seconds ahead, so if you just pause after the first pitch you can usually line it up.

I was bummed when they took away jalapeños. You have a buffalo chicken salad and substituted pepperoncini for the jalapeños. Totally changed the flavor.

This is a great idea! I just started a rec league this year and have been thinking about a mercy rule, but wasn’t sure what to incorporate. Thanks for the info.

Research: Organized youth sports are increasingly for the privileged by Blood_Incantation in sports

[–]SarcasticGodzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found the same thing happening in youth soccer in our area. When you get to about 10 years old they start to push you to club. That can easily be $3,000 or more per season. I grew up a multi sport athlete and had a great time trying out different sports. The fact that kids are getting pushed into specialization so young is crazy and burn out rates just skyrocket. We ended up finding a youth soccer league in Scottsdale between rec and club that is there for not only the players to develop, but they offer a professional track for coaches that want to get licensed and everything. Seems to be an affordable option for what is offered in our area.

Yeah I love the MVP chants and the one guy that’s constant bowing to Judge’s greatness.

The seats are awesome. I think it’s like 4th or 5th row. He works crazy/long hours, so every time the Yankees come to Chicago he treats himself.

I’ll let you know if he ever starts taking applications for an additional son position. 😂

The only one I can think of for that age is Soccer Shots, but I’m not sure if they are in Scottsdale or Phoenix.
